261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *** Complete Guide on How to Create a New Alt Coin – Update 2018 *** on: August 03, 2018, 11:03:38 AM
ah thank i think fixed it....as i know i need do pztimes to news. why that important....or the chain is actually reading news timestamp? Huh

No it's not checked, it's a social convention designed to reassure people that mining did not take place before the date (supposedly included) but it's not widely advertised as such. I still follow the rather elegant lead set by Mr Spread in Spreadcoin: use the latest Bitcoin block height and hash.

Cheers

Graham

that mean everything on web record on timestamp sir?i ever expected when i do collage. before im developer of Artificial now. it's make sense when i look number the linux. and ask linux tovald used his g+. what is that. he said timestamp. and he know it and used it on bitcoin and similar Artificial checkpoint~

well this guide is good atm for learn what is linux and seed. and how distribute as chain~

Notes : guide is unworking for hash. need figure it out.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ask]Just Opinion Miners Vs Bounty on: August 03, 2018, 10:59:04 AM
The main reason behind bounty being preferable than mining is because of the hard work and money you need to invest on mining is considered the hard way to get that coin. Whereas, bounty programs offer free  coins for completing the bounty tasks, even if you have buy reputable account to join, that won't cost you as much as mining.

but this not disturb the job? i mean your work life. i think life important too or do you guys have method to maintain it? because im busy man. that real. im have more schedule and not time on bounty. if you know what step if people like me do bounty?

whole day unstop the schedule comes~suck ahahaha

need remove all or just port change

Whatever. Althougn it's relatively harmless, the client's insistence on "phoning home" seemed to be puzzling some folks, so I thought I'd mention the source of it.

Cheers

10. Remove dns seeds
In chainparams.cpp, remove lines start with “vSeeds.emplace_back”

Also, remove the hard-coded Bitcoin-specific seeds from chainparamseeds.cpp. Otherwise the client will continue to attempt to connect with the Bitcoin network.

Cheers

Graham

need remove all or just port change?for this emercoin not work. they have 2 system hash and transaction id[peercoin fork]

Code:
chainparams.cpp:207: CMainParams::CMainParams(): Assertion `consensus.hashGenesisBlock == uint256S("0x000000002fe872d82f457a6016df5eeb432735a3291ae3b34d04dea89caa286a")' failed.
Aborted

do i need remove checkpoint?

Code:
return CreateGenesisBlock(pszTimestamp, genesisOutputScript, nTimeTx, nTimeBlock, nNonce, nBits, nVersion, genesisReward);
genesis = CreateGenesisBlock(1533211413, 0, 3823366493, 0x1d00ffff, 1, 0);

 checkpointData = (CCheckpointData) {
             boost::assign::map_list_of
            ( 0,     uint256S("0x00000000bcccd459d036a588d1008fce8da3754b205736f32ddfd35350e84c2d"))

267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy GPUs? on: August 02, 2018, 02:37:16 PM
I stays as I do since 1.5 years. Cant decide to buy GPUs. Dont know really, ROI is too high for a long time.When I bought my 1070s, ETH roi was 5-6 months(electriticy except). Now, terrible times.

When I bought GPU for mining, the ROI was about the 6-9 months. Then the coins price rose a lot, the ROI became 3 months.

more mining they hold much price rocket....the unique we can mine altcoin then sell when that coin long roi....so strategy is key~
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ask]Just Opinion Miners Vs Bounty on: August 02, 2018, 02:05:13 PM
well why you not choose PoS? i think same as mining. different we stake and slowly got money. but today PoS is low price than PoW so i prefer mining it. for big scale is profit and not wasting time too...bounty is need everytime checked. i think that profit but...is that not waste time example you go work on company then you do bounty. for me prefer mining. and PoS too for small scale. percentage for sleep human need. bounty have risk that why i not choose it. ever follow. but that coins i give to my friend to continue. because im not social person.

270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: *** Complete Guide on How to Create a New Alt Coin *** on: August 02, 2018, 01:56:52 PM
If you want to make new coin, why just not use wawes platform to make it? I think that its not important how you make it, how much what that coin represents...

you wrong dude how can cat is different with dog?

that simple cat is cat. dog is dog. so i think combine become one no.....

innovation growth not by them platform but intelligent of self.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Genesis Block Generator on: August 02, 2018, 01:51:10 PM
Thanks, it works great for me. I have made small changes to improve it, see https://github.com/liveblockchain/genesisgen

1. Gets invalid result when the timestamp string is longer than 76 bytes, as it has to use `OP_PUSHDATA1(0x4c)` as prefix of the data.

Code:
if (timestamp_len > 76) {
transaction->scriptSig[scriptSig_pos++] = 0x4c;
}

2. Add command line arguments for nonce and unixtime for quick poc test.

Code:
Usage: ./genesis [options] <pubkey> "<timestamp>" <nBits> <startNonce> <unixtime>
$ ./genesis 04678afdb0fe5548271967f1a67130b7105cd6a828e03909a67962e0ea1f61deb649f6bc3f4cef38c4f35504e51ec112de5c384df7ba0b8d578a4c702b6bf11d5f "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks" 486604799 2083236893 1231006505

@rossen ,there are problems with cointech.net Android wallet since update of main wallet to 0.12.4:
First data space that app requires jump from 12 MB to 400 MB (you had this problem in past and you solve it) All the data is on internal memory..
Second, network monitor is stack on block 1086561 (1 block before halving) and does not show all transactions above this block (it does transactions but you cant see them).
Please solve this (when upgrade Android wallet to 0.12 ?)
Thanks

@rossen ??
this app is payment app please respond
+ how much time can transaction be unconfirmed in 0.12.4 wallet version? (for sample when user chose low fee)
@rossen new version sucks, table app transfer unconfirmed over a week, mobile app not working yet since update. Cannot access my digital gold!

can i look his code. maybe need some tweak like checkpoint.  @tossen need new update for bignum~

This is a good coin that was minted for anime lovers. I am very much interested with what would be the plans and outcomes of the said project. I was almost amused that the logo of the coin looks like a common style of anime panties worn by anime female characters. Do you have current bounties that I can join with to earn this coin?

well but the problem solo mining is cannot profit anymore. used pool i think  Roll Eyes

Everything works and digs. Half of the pools are still silent. The coin on the exchanges is and is traded. Watch the video on the Catalyst Cash coin (XAT):
