61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ELECTRONEUM SPECULATION THREAD on: November 01, 2017, 09:31:18 AM
Given the supply. I think this will crash within the next few days due to semi-fail launching. After that and when explodes to the general public, a decent speculation will be about $1 within the next 6 months. But I still believe it will crash on launch, specially when it goes below $0.01
62  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Usapang ELECTRONEUM on: November 01, 2017, 03:24:20 AM
63  Economy / Trading Discussion / Bittrex alternative? on: October 17, 2017, 09:47:39 AM
With the current Bittrex banning of unverified accounts, what are the best alternatives to this exchange? I personally use Bittrex, Finex and Poloniex. I know that Volume is one of the factors to choose what exchange should someone use. I would like to hear from the community some suggestions. Thank you!

How do you know that this "upgrade" is essential? How do you gauge whether it's really an upgrade, or if it will actually degrade the network? If it ends up significantly splitting the network, I don't see how it could possibly be an upgrade.
That is my question. I know that there are scaling problems on bitcoin, and maybe one day some coin would overtake btc like how Myspace got overran by Facebook. Innovation is inevitable. I have doubts on what chain should I support and what I see the community has divided opinions on this.

Don't you see the disconnect in your logic here? You can't support only the original Bitcoin but also support Segwit2x. Bitcoin Gold and Segwit2x have a lot more in common than Bitcoin has with either of them.
Could you please further explain this? I don't have a lot of knowledge on the blockchain technology but an overview would be appreciated.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Upcoming Bitcoin Hard Fork on: October 09, 2017, 06:16:39 PM
As per the question I would love to know how this community thinks about the upcoming hard fork(again). I am having a lot of doubts on how this goes. It seems that miners, devs or whoever push these types of things and resulting to lesser trust and some people are just happy with the free cash. I would love to hear your insights on what would happen to the price, development, etc. Thanks and have a great day.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need to pay income tax if we earn through Bitcoin or Altcoins?? on: October 08, 2017, 10:46:44 PM
As what i read about it, its Yes. It says that income that you earn through services that will be include in gross income and obviously subject to income tax or self employment tax. So technically Yes, it is taxable.
But I would ask, is the only taxable income are the coins that have been converted to fiat, or the total amount of coins purchased on fiat even if you won't convert and still hold some coins or you would use it to buy online goods/services, etc. ?

Congrats OP, tama tong ginagawa mo.

Seeker01 nabili ko yung Ripple ng 0.00018 and then bigla sya nagcrash.

Muntik maubos yung test balance ko noong april. Nung 15th ng May nag deposit ako ng P2,500. Eto na sya ngayon.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] Litecoin Speculation on: May 22, 2017, 11:11:12 AM
Only those people with weak hearts panic sell their LTC. This is one of the market moves that make 90% of traders lose money.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which coin is best for tradding??? on: May 19, 2017, 01:31:31 PM
Find a coin and research about it. Look at the volume and liquidity of that atlcoin. Check their market cap, their purpose and their time of release. It is better to invest in altcoins that have existed for a long time. But put of most importance the knowledge you have on a coin before you even buy it. You don't buy something on a mall without knowing what it is. Put it like that.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BEST HARD DRIVE FOR BURST COIN MINING. on: May 13, 2017, 12:31:07 PM
Does mining burstcoin only concerns the free capacity of your HDD or does it still consider your other computer specs?
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt Bubble Popped? on: May 09, 2017, 02:47:06 PM
BTC just hit the $1,700 mark. It should be expected since most people would like to cash in their profits, mostly selling their altcoins to BTC. I advise to keep your alts, panic buying would be over in a while.
72  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Stocks, Commodities, CFD using bitcoins on: May 09, 2017, 02:39:12 PM
It seems I cannot find feedbacks on these sites on bitcointalk. I have read that 1broker is unregulated, which is really not surprising since it is using crypto but I really want to hear some feedbacks on these sites. I don't want to go and dive without knowing anything about these sites.
73  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading Stocks, Commodities, CFD using bitcoins on: May 08, 2017, 07:09:04 PM
Straight to the point. Is there any legit site that uses bitcoins for trading stocks, forex and commodities? I have been studying trading and would like to consider trading these together with cryptocurrencies. But I am having a hard time finding a good site that offers these services.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: May 08, 2017, 05:25:27 PM
1. Gamble what you can afford to lose.
2. Do not consider it as a source of income. Better make it as entertainment.
3. Risk management.

Example:
Your monthly salary is $250. Your cost of living is $200. You save $40, put the $10 in a betting site. Your pot is $10(100%)
Risk 1% of your pot. Set a goal to achieve(Ex. 5% of total). When you win, stop. When you lose, stop. Go back tomorrow. Repeat.

If you want easy money then go bust your account in one day. Happened to me a dozen times. Never again.
75  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which is the best way to earn btc on: May 08, 2017, 04:44:07 PM
In the light of your past experiences i think it's pretty obvious that the best course of action would be working to earn some fiat, buying BTC with that and then simply holding the BTC.
You can also look for some work to do that people pay directly in BTC (e.g. on this forum).

But in the end BTC is basically money, and there is no "easy" or "fast" way to earn it if you don't give your work / experience in exchange for that.

As most of the people have told you you need to find a work or to try to 'invest' into altcoins which can be risky specially if you are new to this (will recommend reading few weeks about which one to try to invest in before doing it).

I have also found this website (freelance for bitcoin) - https://www.xbtfreelancer.com/  , I personally never got any new job as most jobs are programing jobs and as I am not that much educated to be able to, but you might try it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Jobs4Bitcoins/ - reddit

Also might try something like http://bitgigs.com/

Three most effective ways to earn from bitcoins with the least risks:
1. Convert fiat to BTC, hold and sell.
2. Find jobs that pays bitcoins.
3. Trade cryptocurrencies.

These three ways need one core attitude: PATIENCE.
There is no such thing as 'zero risk' in earning. Even getting jobs paying in bitcoins involve risks(e.g. not getting paid). There are a lot of ways to expound my list but these are the core concepts.

PS: Before you try trading, try to research first the coins that you want to trade and how trading works. Don't jump on a plane when you don't know where you're heading.

What's the difference between CPU and GPU mining? I thought it was just ASIC and CPU mining..
78  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Poloniex Journey] My First CryptoCurrency Exchange Experience on: May 03, 2017, 07:08:46 AM
Mataas baba ng mga coins ngayon dahil ang taas na ng bitcoins, nagwiwithdraw karamihan ng tao.
79  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why can't I buy BTC on coinbase? on: May 01, 2017, 07:59:42 PM
Some countries are still not available for buying bitcoins on coinbase.

Well, comparing it to claiming on BTC faucets, is it worth it? I have traded and lost about 200k sats and don't want to dive again until I learn trading. I have tried gambling too and I lost everything I won.
