101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin to local communities/villagers on: March 20, 2023, 08:20:32 PM
Just as stated earlier, our targets was for the youths to learn about BTC investment basically. The gathering you're seeing is not for professional teaching. That was our first time there, we only came to do introduction and briefly asked permission of parents to encouraged their children to learn about BTC investment. Since we came with visitors who know more about BTC, we ask both our parents to come and pay briefly attention on the preliminary aspects of what we will come to do next time. We are there for the youths but we needed the parents to give support to their children.

Because people misunderstood the whole concept from the beginning and start judging from there. No professional teaching was held only introduction of what we want to do. Thanks

what you are doing is a good thing OP, but my question is why didn't you choose a better and more conducive place to do introductions and ask permission from parents to encourage their children to invest in Bitcoin?.
you have already obtained permission from the elders there, you should be able to take more advantage of it by providing a more appropriate place to talk with the parents and youth there. Instead of asking them to gather in an open and unconducive place like that, you better gather them in a conducive place like in a room.
regardless of you saying it's an ordinary introduction and there is no professional teaching. but if you want parents to believe in and encourage their children to learn about Bitcoin you should be really serious about thinking about more detailed matters such as the comfort and conduciveness of the gathering place so that the goals you want to convey can be effectively conveyed and received by good by them.
you have received a lot of good suggestions and criticisms from members in this forum, if you are really serious then you have to fix your way in the future.
good luck for you.
102  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: March 19, 2023, 10:02:31 PM
Obviously, you'll never learn from your wins because there's no need to change your strategy if you are winning. However, when you experience losses, that's when you will evaluate your strategy, change it, and try if it's working. The thing is, if you keep learning from your mistakes and never give up, eventually you will become a successful trader and earn a consistent profit in trading.

I have heard that there are people making a living from gambling, but I would say it's more possible in trading.

it is true that it is very important to correct mistakes in ourselves and the strategies we use when we experience losses in trading activities.
only learning from mistakes and never giving up does not guarantee us a successful trader but we must also be able to limit our losses.
never giving up is good but I think we also have to keep thinking logically and realistically to set a loss limit for ourselves. if we keep trying and keep failing without limiting the losses we experience it's the same as we don't learn from mistakes and do reckless things.
when we try and it turns out that we exceed the loss limit that we have set, sometimes we have to stop for a moment and should think about what went wrong and maybe we should try to consult people who understand better about trading and ask why we always experience losses.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel selling your BTC against your plans? on: March 19, 2023, 09:27:48 PM
A thought came over me while spending my BTC. Although I was wondering if members have had that experience and  too  how others would feel about it hence this topic. Now here was what happened. I had an emergency which requires an urgent attention and it involves funds. I had no option than  to get the funds immediately as the payment I was expecting has no yet been credited to my account I had no option at that moment than to fall back to my bitcoin and what touched me most was that the market was red and It was obvious I had to sell to sort out the urgency at hand. While doing that, there was this feelings I had then as a result of the red market as at the time I was doing the transaction . I was just having that thought over me then and wishing the market could just boom immediately so I could only release just a small fraction of my BTC to sort out things then and another was that I could just receive my much awaited alert so I could stop the BTC transaction immediately. You know that feelings that comes when you want to do something you really do not have plans doing immediately maybe you have plans for it in the future and all of a suden an emergency comes up which would force you to do the needful. I had that feelings and it was real and really devastating at that very moment.
If you have had such experience, how was it like?
Selling our property against our wish can be very painful and I know how it felt. If you sell your Bitcoin because you have some issues so settle then it is better than not having anything to look to for your problem to be solved. There are some persons that do not even have money or investment they can rely on to settle there issues. Problems come everyday and we must be prepared to make some savings down so when we have problem, we can easily to there and get some funds to resolve the issue. Op is very lucky to have something he can rely on which is not as bad as he thinks.
You are correct mate, there are many out there that in one way or the other are facing challenges but have nothing to turn to for rescue. I first felt some chills running down my spine at the first instance I read this comment of yours. This made me remember my early beginning where I used to have nothing which if it happens to be now I could not have had anything to do than to go borrowing or give it up but with the bitcoin I had  I was able to do something with immediate effect and I was happy it was very fast and me need in getting the funds were met immediately before the pending alert I was waiting for came in. I was as well thinking if I had no savings or investment of that nature what would I have done as I do not fancy loan and money lenders. After this thought came over me, I decided to be saving as little as I can I fractions added to the one I already have as bitcoin price is very low at the good buy order. I choose to do this with every spare cash in my possession so as not to lavish it in any way and I made a decision to stick to it till I get a reasonable number of bitcoin.

what Wakate said is absolutely true, there are still many people who have nothing to just survive today. We must be grateful because we are still among those who have investment assets that can be sold and relied on so that we can survive in difficult circumstances.
if we sell our Bitcoin not for our original investment purpose it is very painful because there must be a struggle that we do when collecting it.
but at least you should also be grateful because Bitcoin has saved you during that difficult time and never regret the decision that has been taken to survive.

I hope that in the future you will not only focus on investing in Bictoin, from existing events you should also rethink setting aside your money for emergencies so you don't sell your Bitcoin assets again.
this incident is an important reminder for all of us to be better and wiser in managing our income and expenses.
104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: March 19, 2023, 08:38:31 PM
I mean, how the heck is someone addicted to trading? If they are making losses in trading, then they will definitely stop at a point when they won’t have money to trade further. Otherwise, if they have tons of money and are making good profits from trading, then this addiction isn’t at all bad, to be honest. Until and unless you trade within your limits, there is no harm, but if you exceed the amount that you have committed for the trades, then definitely it will be a big problem. I haven’t come across any crazy incidents or met anyone who is addicted to trading. People trade just to earn some extra income. Trading isn’t a source of recreation, so how will it become an addiction?

In my opinion, if someone can still stop when they experience a loss while carrying out trading activities, that does not include addiction. if a person does not have good self-control he will definitely experience a trading addiction, maybe just like a gambling addiction.
someone who is already addicted to trading is more likely that they cannot control their desire to always trade, when they experience a loss he will continue to trade and when there is no capital he will try no matter what or whatever way he tries to sell his goods and even apply for a loan to carry out trading activities.
someone who is addicted to trading is completely unable to control his trading desires and cannot think logically so he cannot set a limit for his losses, if he experiences a loss the only thing in his mind is that he must continue to try trading and not care even though he actually has more losses natural rather than profit.
105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Trade on Emotions on: March 18, 2023, 11:48:22 PM
The most important thing for trading is patience and should have basic knowledge about trading. You cannot trade with emotions. Life does not run with emotions. Most of the people in the country are unemployed, so they want to do trading without knowing anything.  And they tend to panic more.So they sell everything when the price goes down and start buying when the price goes up.  Due to which they cannot earn good profit. So you have to practice a lot in trading. Because trading on the basis of emotions without analyzing the market, the risk of losing is high.

i agree with your opinion. it's true that when we trade, it's not only a matter of controlling our emotions, but we also have to have basic knowledge about trading to get the most out of trading activities.
carrying out trading activities without having sufficient knowledge of course will not be optimal and probably won't a make profit, likewise if we have good knowledge and understanding of trading but cannot control our emotions the same will not be optimal in trading.
Emotional control and knowledge are things that support each other and we cannot just have one of them but must balance mastering both.
106  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan for investment can be life threatening on: March 18, 2023, 11:27:57 PM
It was an uncle of mine who took a loan on his name and sent it to a childhood friend living in America, he knew I was a crypto enthusiast and he never asked me to help him. I asked him why he took the loan for this, and he replied that the person is reliable, and his friend is a crypto trader, but he doesn't even know how crypto works.

I find out that his friend is focusing on meme coins only, he invested in crypto projects on pink sale, and the names are the type that you will laugh at when you hear them, I later told my uncle to keep praying that things go his way, he still believes that his friend is better than me and I am not trying to prove that I am better.

I hope things go well like they hope, but this is a very big concern for me, because if anything happens, he will be left alone to pay back the loan, this can be life threatening because he is old and the loan amount is a lot, or do you have any better idea about this? What would you have done if you are in my shoes?

it's really unfortunate what your uncle did to just believe and take big risks without fully understanding what your uncle's friend was doing. This is the importance of understanding and learning about the basic knowledge and risks that exist about cryptocurrencies.
it will be difficult to convince people who are older than ourselves. but what you did was right to remind and try to explain properly to your uncle.
there is nothing else you can do because indirectly your uncle has rejected your understanding and explanation and still believes in his friend. Your uncle has taken the risk to make a loan and trust his friend.
even if it is relatives or family but when they have taken the risk and refuse the correct understanding, we cannot force them to make their choice and they will bear the risk themselves.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Try to save money while you still can, will you ? on: March 18, 2023, 11:03:21 PM

Well, the inflation in my country now is not extremely high but has already damaged the economy. The cost of living is increasing and does not seem to stop. Last week one of my friends lost his job after working in the same company for a decade. His life abruptly changed, putting him in a place where he could not support his family. If you were him, how would you survive this tough time ? As a friend, I am trying to help him as much as I can and meanwhile, I am planning to save more money to prepare for the unexpected challenges in my life. What about you ?

a decade is a long time for an employee in a company, your friend should get a large severance pay or compensation money for his loyalty to work in that company.
but sometimes some companies have never thought of giving appropriate compensation in accordance with the employee's dedication. I hope your friend can find another job soon or maybe try to start their own business.
Yes, that's right, regardless of whether we are an employee or have a business venture, we must be smart and wise in managing our money properly by saving expenses and trying to set aside all of our income for emergency funds, savings and investments. and we must not live with high prestige, we must live according to our means.
108  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1$ per day crypto investment plan any good ? on: March 17, 2023, 10:17:13 PM
Is 1$ investment in crypto every day enough?
I think it's enough and I don't think it's a problem, just adjust it to your abilities and the income you currently have. don't be afraid and don't hesitate to start investing even with minimal capital, even if it's a little as long as it's done consistently little by little it's better than not starting at all.

also is BTC the best option with this 1$ per day?
yes, you should only invest in Bitcoin because it has been proven rather than investing in shitcoin. but you also don't get complacent just yet, it's best after you can be consistent every day $ 1 like your original plan, after that maybe you can try to find additional income again and try to increase the amount of your investment.
109  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: March 17, 2023, 09:37:20 PM
I want to know if it right for children that are of 10-15years go in to trade or not
in my opinion totally unsuited to go into trading in my opinion if he or she is under 18 years old.

because I think is too risky for them to go in to trade for now.
actually you have answered your own question right?. you already know that it would be too risky for the child and trading is not an easy thing to do even by us.
I think their thoughts and mentality are also not ready to accept trading materials because they do not have maturity in making decisions and emotional stability.
but if you teach him basic terms in general, I don't think there is a problem because maybe the child is talented in trading if he is old enough and indirectly you have provided a foundation of basic knowledge about trading.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin by selling wife's jewelry on: March 17, 2023, 09:16:46 PM
We know gold is very precious metal, but Bitcoin is much more expensive than gold. Bitcoin will cross $100k after halving in 2024 ie if I invest $3000 in Bitcoin now then there is a chance of getting 10x after 2024. If I get $30000 from investing $3000, nothing can be as valuable as Bitcoin. I explained this formula to my wife at night and she was not willing to give me her jewelery at first but today she told me by herself that you can sell my jewelery and invest in Bitcoin. At present I am forced to sell my wife's jewelery as I have no fiat money.
I seek advice from expert investors/holders/users of this forum,,,,
whether selling my wife's jewelery and investing on bitcoins makes sense?
Is it reasonable to invest in gold rather than bitcoin?
The question here is does your wife agree with this?
It is her jewelry and she might consider it as something more valuable than money because of the memories that she had on those jewelry.

he has said that his wife agreed in the end bro, but i think his wife might have been a little forced and finally had to give up the jewelery because she believed and supported OP as her husband. because it is not easy for some women to just let go of their jewelery for no apparent reason.

For me if it is about the money then it could be worth it, but if it would somehow wreck your relationship then it is not worth the risk.

but I'm sure of course they will have discussed it carefully, because before that OP had explained and asked permission carefully from his wife, right?
everyone will try to take advantage of the opportunities that exist and sometimes dare to take big risks, especially when it comes to investing in Bitcoin. because there is no doubt that Bitcoin has proven its existence to date, even though it is very volatile.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Word of encouragement for Bitcoin investors on: March 16, 2023, 10:47:14 PM
Those who come and have the plan to invest should never think about investing in crypto as a sort of trial and error because I don't want you to lose your money.
but I don't think there's anything wrong with trial and error either, for beginners who don't really understand investing in crypto, of course they will try it at first because they don't have a specific goal yet right?.
what's wrong is when investing in crypto but don't want to go deeper and don't set investment goals, but they just follow the trend that is happening.

That is why before to start investing in Bitcoin or altcoins, we have to make sure that we already have enough knowledge about the market. In fact, it was a part of the investment plan, we have to study the nature of the market and all the things needed.
i agree with your opinion, wanting to learn basic knowledge about cryptocurrencies is the most important part for our own success and important capital to support all activities that we will carry out in the crypto world whether it's investing, trading and others.

Better we understand how crypto world, it is possible we commit mistakes but never make this as an excuse to quit unless we really don't have a plan to correct our mistakes.
everyone must have a plan to fix the mistakes or problems they face, but it all depends whether they want or not to overcome the problems they face.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when people tells their story on bitcoin on: March 16, 2023, 10:15:44 PM
I feel motivated by the stories even if I do not say them out loud very often. I take my motivation mostly from a few of my friends and people in my neighborhood who have benefited greatly from this great invention. Two of them are graduates that were jobless after school till they started learning how to trade crypto. I was still in school at the time and I witness their rise in the field. This is even more motivating because I witnessed it myself, I knew where they started ad I know where they are now. Theyer are not millionaires (yet) but they are in a way better place than where they used to be thanks to BTC.

If we hear and see the success of other people, let alone those closest to us, we really have to make these success stories a trigger for us to be better. but don't just look at the success stories of other people, that's not enough. We also have to be willing and brave to see other people's failure stories as well so that it can be a reminder for us to continue to be careful in everything we do in order to minimize and avoid examples of failure that other people have experienced.

if other people can take advantage of opportunities well from Bitcoin we can too. we must be able to take advantage of all available opportunities and believe that success will always come to those who try hard and do not give up easily when faced with problems or losses. because there are some people when they haven't been able to reach the desired target or can't be as successful as other people, sometimes they will feel like a failure because they are jealous of seeing other people's success.
113  Other / Off-topic / Re: A word of motivation on: March 16, 2023, 09:48:05 PM
This should be a word of motivation to all newbies and for those who have joined Bitcoin investment recently,  I have to enunciate that it endures patients and courage to succeed in any investment,

congratulations OP on an achievement you received. your efforts and patience for several years investing in Bitcoin finally got tangible results to help to renovate your apartment. everyone has their own target and to fulfill their wish and I think you are enough to motivate and give a real example to all beginners who are just investing in Bitcoin.
I think what you are doing is not only motivating all of us but also reminding us all to use the results of our investment for useful things such as making our families happy by renovating apartments so that they become better and more decent dwellings.

I want to thank the founder of bitcoin and bitcoin talk forum for their good works and I UCHE6215 promise to spreads the good news from bitcoin to my carers,  it's been an honor to be in this forum

I think when you use your Bitcoin investment for positive things and for good as what you do already represents a great appreciation to the creators of Bitcoin. keep spreading the good news so that the people around you and many people can also be motivated by what you are doing and not misunderstood by negative news about Bitcoin.
114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Being drunk while trading what was your experience on: March 15, 2023, 10:36:54 PM
The question is, can you trade while you are already drunk?
I was asked this question because I have never been in that mood before being drunk while trading and those who have been in that condition what was your actions and reaction while trading because I noticed something very hard for someone to be drunk and as well trade, do you make profits or keep losing maybe do you close your trade after being drunk.

if you asked it can or not, it depends on the person in my opinion, and also whether you're in a state of heavy drunkenness or light drunkenness. because as far as I know a person's level of acceptance or resistance to alcohol is sometimes different. sometimes there are some people who only drink a little alcohol immediately get very drunk but there are also some special people who if they have drunk quite a lot but can still control their consciousness and thoughts, but people like this are not many but there are.
but if in general the condition of people after being drunk it will be under their subconscious and cannot control themselves and their thoughts right?. so yes, in my opinion, if you are heavily drunk, you may not be able to carry out trading activities or any activities. if you really insist on trading, then it is likely that you will lose not even make a profit, maybe you will even be easily carried away by emotions and cannot control yourself when trading.
We all know that trading activities require accuracy, maturity of thought and the ability to analyze well, right? If you want to make a profit, you can't just rely on luck carelessly.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early bitcoin investment for my baby on: March 15, 2023, 09:36:46 PM
I am definitely going to use the money to invest in bitcoin this year for my baby so that in the next 18 years my baby will be proud of the decision I took for him.

congratulations on the birth of your child OP, I am also happy and I hope you and your baby are always healthy and always under God's protection, and hopefully someday your child will be a successful person.
every parent has a plan for the welfare of their child's future and in my opinion this is something that is unique and rarely done by parents.
I hope you already have a cold wallet or hardware wallet to store the Bitcoin investment that you prepared for your baby because to maximize the security of Bitcoin assets for your child, very unfortunate if you only use a hot wallet because you also have to consider the security vulnerabilities of your investments. You have to prepare for this to the maximum because it will take up to a dozen years.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Ponzi Schemes - People are confused. on: March 15, 2023, 08:46:23 PM
We should counter all of these misinformed people, with education on what Bitcoin is, because they lose money on Ponzi schemes and then they blame it on Bitcoin.

Each individual already has his own burden of thoughts or conflicts. Against all the misinformed people about the Ponzi scheme in the name of Bitcoin, I think it might be drains our energy and makes us depressed, I think it's bad for our mental health.
Trying to provide insight or justify a negative understanding of Bitcoin to our family or the people closest to us, sometimes we are often overwhelmed, right? It's better for us to do something real and realistic according to our abilities such as by giving insight to the people closest to us or people who are interested in Bitcoin, it will be easier than fighting the thoughts of people we don't know. Or maybe if we want to reach a wider community we can make articles or content about Bitcoins which is acceptable and makes sense to other people, but it requires great effort and is not easy way.

119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: February 11, 2023, 01:35:34 PM
I think that Bitcoin is good to be known from youthful age.
maybe it will be better when the child can manage his finances. I mean, when a child is given money with a specific nominal value, he can control how the money is used. that's a good time to teach Bitcoin to kids.
we don't know what the right age is for it. and maybe in countries that have legalized Bitcoin, are there any subjects in certain classes that might touch on discussions related to digital currency?
