pool wont connect on 4444 but will on 3333 is it possible for you to try 512 . 256 may be out of the range of your software

Port 4444 was blocked for some reason.  Changed it to port 5555 and verified that it is open from the outside, so static difficulty of 256 should work now.

getting ready to check it out

Hey, I tried using your pool, but your difficulty is set way to high for my cpu to mine. Is there anyway you could either set it to automatically change the difficulty or turn it down a little.

thats my issue too .... woot to you figuring the pool out . that is the same issue im having at my the devs node . we really need a pool with a static difficulty 256 would be ideal the coin difficulty is too low the amount of work sent out is larger then the work needed to solve a block so its pissing away hash and causing odd things in cgminer it really does seem to all even out but its not running smoothly thats why i wanted hash to coins to pick us up ... if you can make a 256 or 512 happen ill bring my miners over and start helping to promote you pool .

Hm, strange - it is already set to automatically change the difficulty based on your hashrate.  It starts at 1024 but then it can vary down to 8 or up all the way to 65536.

Anywho - I've added another stratum on port 4444 that has a static difficulty of 256.  Hopefully that will work better for you guys.

when i get some me time later tonight ill port over cant wait

It is recommended to modify the algorithm, to prevent the mining of professional mining, so that most people have the opportunity to use computer mining. Refer to https://lbry.io/

the algo is changing during the swap . new source is about 2 weeks out

by that i mean that is the dev of the algo is putting out a major update
shortly. yes the dev of the algo. I dont want to start mining the swap coins
and then have to update we might as well wait

Hey devloper (Flapmin) please re-upload the Mac and windows wallet to a service other than dropbox (perhaps Google drive). All previous links to dropbox are not working due to "reaching your data limit." I'm sure potential clients will find this an inconvenience if it happens again; I know I am.

I was unaware it was going to have a limit all but the bootstrap is on the github ill make other arrangments

surprised a pool hasn't picked up on this yet.

Agreed.

While we're waiting for pools like hash-to-coins or findblocks or whatever to set something up, I've started a pool on my computer. It's running on UNOMP with PROP payout.

If anyone is interested they can find it at http://88.89.11.212, the stratum is 88.89.11.212:3333 with vardiff 8..65536.  Fee is set to 1%.

Username is your flappycoin address and password is whatever.

So your config should be something like this: -o stratum+tcp://88.89.11.212:3333 -u yourflappycoinaddress -p x

Peeps are welcome to join while we wait for the "real" pools!

[edit] BTW, payout is set to 12500, but block maturity is at 120 blocks. [/edit]

Are we going to be rich? $$$

I have a good chunk of flap and ive given away a lot

i cant say as to the tangible value

But im personally mining more

i can only mine for about 2 more days but i do see some solos going
or some pools we don't know about
my impression from both hash to coins and findblocks it would be added
there is that akki pool that has a good mix of coins they may be next to ask

the reason mining is important to those who want to go on this particular ride
is the swap amuses zero burnt coins to make 100% sure thats any flappycoin that
could possibly exist has its equivalent reserved on the new chain

being that flappycoin in a less or lager extent have been burned
the remaining coins will be up for grabs indefinitely this allows miners to
get some extra when all the coins have been swapped  this chain and coin will be
put into hibernation unless someone continues to mine it for what ever reason

the only example i can think of is if somehow flappy endded up at a doge exchange
and those people wanted to continue trading it  I guess well have to decided how the coins
should be burned . or else it would in some peoples eye threaten that market
from the swap

tried already, but it says that Flappy5 file or directory doesn't exist

ok do check this out
none of your directories are aloud to have spaces or ()
go to where its complaining in cant find files and check the folder names
also if a directory is caps in the first letter it gets pissy also

does anyone have a list of command line prompts to setup a flappycoin node on a Ubuntu VPS. Searched plenty of forums and websites but yet can't get any of it to work for flappycoin; kind of lost at this point.

i think you mean building the deamon if thats correct you can
you need to install a bunch of dependency
then get a copy of the coin on your remote computer
then build the make file and start it

I have a problem with my wallet. It spontaneously  closed today snd when I tried to open it again AVG stated that the flappycoin fill contained a Trojan virus. I clicked ignore yet still my wallet won't open. What do I do and does this wallet file contain any virus?

your avg will stop it from opening indefinably just stop avg for a second and start i up
you are the second person to tell me avg has flagged it
I personally dont run avg so i cant say . but avg flags this all the time
like my reg edits my cgminer ect

Alright, I'm rearing my ugly head.

I've got lots of FLAP so if no one objects, I'm willing do a couple things to spread the coins out:

1) Double match bounties
2) Trade FLAP for any top 100 coin
3) Open to other ideas for distributing coins

i was kinda thinking about uploading the newer flappy icon and offering people at topia some flap to change there icon to flap for awhile .. netcoin did it but i dont want to do it with my account i think it might be taken the wrong way

more power to you im fairly tied up in development at the moment
trying to get us a pool and some more nodes
I hesitate trying to get on an exchange knowing a swap is comming

been a while since I did it, solo mining, and forgot how to set it away. Anyone got a quick guide on setting it up on windows? I will use my gpu and see if it gains anything Smiley

how much mining power do you have
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FLAP] FlappyCoin ★Flap is back :) DUST OFF YOUR .DAT on: June 03, 2017, 03:03:26 AM
is anybody willing to trade me some flappy coin for doge

yes we are i dont know what a fir price is .. again all doge is headed to the flapmin account at topia for liquidation
so tell me what you would like to pay and unlesss its simply unreasonable you have a deal ... im also willing to give someone part of the miner that moves the chain for a fair fee the payouts are pretty good as you see me tipping 100000 at a time
