-_- downloaded new wallet and its just stuck

you got connections ?
if so, remove old chain and replace with the new bootstrap

I think we are seeing an influx of old users that still have old nodes in the config/peer.dat

are you my fellow spots miner?

Nope, i am playing around with p2pool, got only spots2 - but that´s the wrong chain. But it was fairly easy to setup.
all i would need is a working windows binary.

I did mean spots 2 . its profitable to mine still  from time to time
the daemons on the pool its just turned off

did you miss my invite or decline it?

I have a few questions about the Dot fundraiser to get listed on cryptopia.

1) What's the total number of dot needed to successfully be listed?

2) Who created the address and has control over the use of the funds?

3) How do we know that person won't just run off with the money? We're already at $1134.51709 CAD, which would be pretty tempting to steal?

4) Why has there been a transaction of 24 DOT out? What was the reason of removing/sending the money?

at the moment i have the dot wallet off line . large amounts of people know me in the real world .
to do such a thing would cause me to lose all my friends . i am also available in the really real world . I own a share of
solar to crypto now my name is on the public records so needless to say transparency is important  anyone who
wants to verify my identity that can be arranged . I had spoken to wayawolf and a few others i felt were known by
the community about possibly holding them waya has a decent amount of dot from the dot for flap swap hes been doing
funded by fees from the pool that will start making it over soon also

the total number of dot needed is variable it is .9 btc regardless of the price last month it was 140k-250k
at the moment its at more then twice that because of the price of dot/btc its low right now but when we get some more
we can catch it on a dot/btc pump for about 250k dot but it could be higher for awhile till the price of
dot goes up  or we get some more miners on the dot pool , or if we get  some more good donations

the 25 dot out goes back to the same address . the dot wallet does not seem to be maintained atm it took some pain
to get a working wallet i was testing the wallet  from what i had been told dot want to waves? i wanted to make sure
everyone wasn't sending coins to the abyss i see 5 k from someone thank you

i know the anns a wreck im rebuilding it but im rebuilding it in 4 places at the same time its  gonna be a few till i get
to the bottom but i do indeed have my shit together I have set up a discord channel Its jut been devs and friends of flap
I need to get to that page so i can meet up with some of you

as far as someone running off for 1000 bucks thats cheap to find out someones not worth a shit If i had the rest of the dot
id just pay it now
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★FlappyCoin★SWAP POW/POS★m7m cpu Algo★Cryptopia soon★ on: August 30, 2017, 04:36:41 AM
whomever has 400mh on flappy i hope you own that rig and aren't paying
you could have just put 5mh on it and got a good share and in all fairness if you have
not noticed the payouts are in a remitting phase for the next 7-10ish days

would have been more sense to put the 400 mh on spots
but hey, that are things that happen on crypto´s , it would have been nice if that was 100 miners, but well - it isn´t.

edit: btw is there a windows binary for spots available ? i only found the spots2 binary, but that is a complete other chain.

are you my fellow spots miner?

it´shown as ~300 kh/s , but behaves like 1.5 +mh ??  Huh

Id like to extend an invitation to you to join the flappycoin(s) dev team
are you interested ?

I need some help on the following matter:

Block: 1454526
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xmg/block.dws?0000000053997f467c61ca283e41fff8e4488fac15ed8404f286109fbd58d26f.htm
Reward: 1.29372498 XMG
Difficulty: 1.77659401

Block: 1454477
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xmg/block.dws?0000000072474a8741189f665a7db58c7c0eb0bb6cb5fccbf81292249e834ddd.htm
Reward: 3.64482276 XMG
Difficulty: 1.76140945

In MAGI, the difficulty is calculated based on the net hash rate. So it seems that the net hash rate in both cases must've been more or less similar as the difficulties are almost the same.
Why is the reward in block 1454477 almost 3x as high as in block 1454526?

looks to be an attempt at better distobution also please note the 8 hr maturity on coins change
witch i fully agree with i had already changed to 8 hrs on flaps

 flaps?
Grin alot of magi flaps?

indeed  lots to go over before swap and launch
flappycoin is being mined up pretty well . lots of changes
this coin has been threw we are still trying to decide witch mpow/mpos
best suites our project

  flaps?

indeed I am flapmin.
We fixed the flappycoin network several months ago to restore everyones flappycoin
we had to disable the pos side to jump start it ... yes your old flappycoin dats still work
after a few months of tinkering we decided the wallet would never be stable enough to run POS
since then we have been working on a m7m pow/pos replacement for flappycoin.. FLAPS
for lots of reasons .. we will be swapping the entire 10 billion theoretical flappycoins to
10 million total supply of FLAPS the flappycoin chain will be used for wallet development at that point
We chose this coin too work with because it solves multiple problems
1 Stable POS Platform
2 asic resistant
3 with the swap we are deflating the flappycoin chain
4 Hard to bully a bunch of coins out of the chain

I find it ironic that the problems im reading here and the complaints are exactly the reason
that have drawn our team to this coin in the first place. its actually really neat.

Guys you should understand that while there are relatively high hashrate members here, i dont think that they are the ones doing the pump and dump. While destroyer is one of those with very high hash in pom he mines 24/7. The ones who truly drive the difficulty up are those that only jump in when rewards are up to a certain degree of high for them. And they immediately leave after it falls of a certain degree. They also do not use the known pools.
I understand that, but I hope that someone from that group will read these posts. And have some brain in their head to understand what I'm saying.

The Magi team is very active. i guarantee you they are reading each post specially magic and joe. But the problem is much more complex because of the decentralized nature. If it was a close system the fix would have been much easier. So voice out but be patient.

indded they are .. lots of commits lately

Who will ditch it? Botnets, wanna be millionaires? Who even cares about them? Then rename coin to Botnetfasprofit Coin.
I just try to make a coin more fair for everyone, if most of the community like mining almost nothing meanwhile some dude with like 20k MH is grabbing all of the already small rewards, then ok, I have no problem with it. I really don't wanna fight with the majority of the community... but for now I see that minority is almost bullying the majority, and even after so many pages they don't understand that if they limit their hash, they will be earning more, and the rest of the power they can route to some other coin and earn there some plus profit. I know, not everyone is mining here to support the coin, there are people who just want to make money, but they go with brute force instead of going smart.

Let's say you have like 5k, because 20k is extreme. You put 1k in Magi, really small number of miners have 1k even, and the other 4k in Bytecoin for example. You said that you don't care about profit, then do it that way. You will be earning much more Magi with 1k then 5k.

I try to explain that fact all the time ... the coin will pay out per block
regardless of the net hash... its a percentage of the block reward dictated
by time ... if you have 1 MH on a 100MH network you have 1%
If you have 100MH on a 1000MH network you have 1%

your only hurting yourself buy hashing too much more then the avg hash rate

The variable reward system is what makes this coin Magi coin. It is what makes the coins unique.

Some people are thinking that we could implement controls on pools. Yes we could but it would be for naught. Reason? With a little coding knowledge i could setup a pool with minimal effort. Well i dont really know how to code but i could pay someone to make just modify a already existing pool code i could grab for free online.

Hard coding it on the node will work much better but again nodes are also open source one could simply compile a clean one without the hard coded limits.

Banning ips or will not work either since botnets have different hashrates. rentals also same problem. Different ips for all.

I head bitcoin cash implemented an emergency protocol where after several hrs if they cant find this number of blocks difficulty is adjusted to 20% of the current difficulty. Maybe we can use this and implement a sudden payout reduction or increase instead of the normal slow adjustments when hash increases too much or decreases too much. But then if people wants to attack the coins they can simply hash high and remove it to keep reward low.

It is hard to really do anything. If it was possible to make it a solo only coin that would probably work out a bit better but not perfect as well.

that all sounds good untill you look at the code its already very complicated because there are
variables based on additional variables ...hmmm
