141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can old generation cause the habit of gambling in young generation ? on: November 25, 2023, 12:37:23 PM
There are some old people in my family which are paying cricket fantasy games. They usually talk about the games and their performance is matches almost daily. It is obvious that if any younger guy in family will listen about this, he will also be eager to know more about this. How can I stop the younger generation in my family being carried away by this and focus on other important things like studies only ?

It's going to be very hard because of what environment you grow up with, and obviously it will have a big impact on the young generations specially if they see the old ones playing and gambling and so they can influence them.

I guess the best thing to do is try to talk to them early so that they won't be sway on playing or at least lessen the effects on them. Just tell them to just focus on their study and what having a good education can do for them in the future. And so you will also guide them, this is not just a one time attempt, you should stay with them specially if you are the parents.
Yes, it is true that the environment is one of the driving factors for children to be affected by gambling, because usually we often see this and one day we will definitely try it too, it seems like we cannot avoid this situation, so indirectly we must always supervise our children and never Let him try gambling with parents who are in the circle, maybe guiding them is one of the right decisions we take, but this will not have a big impact on our child if we don't supervise him and forbid him from touching gambling games.
142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 25, 2023, 06:21:38 AM
I have observed that the rich, I mean those who are financially comfortable, win more in gambling than the poor. By poor, I mean those who do not have enough to meet all their needs. I don't know the reason for this. Could it be that the rich understand financial management more? Or could it be that the rich are less desperate to win which make them make better gambling decision? I really want to know the reason for this pattern I have observed.
Because rich people have enough funds to bet so they will sometimes get occasional wins when they have spent a lot of bets while poor people will only bet with a limited amount of funds and make the winning percentage also small for them, but basically in gambling it will not guarantees that people who have a lot of funds can often win and vice versa because when it comes to gambling everything really depends on luck.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good advice? on: November 24, 2023, 01:31:16 PM
I keep seeing gamblers advising themselves that you are one step closer to winning the jackpot when you quit too early,  it's sad that they strongly believe this.

Is this true?

This advice is actually making gamblers believe that they can win when they spend a lot of more time in the casino, they strongly believe that not stopping or taking break will bring them closer to their jackpot.

One of em told me that this is why I don't win, that I only gamble when I feel like, he said constantly gambling is a must if you want to win, but I disagree, because I have seen too many people not knowing when to quit until it was too late.

To me, gambling is a theater, a form of entertainment that I pay for, not a way to get rich quick, for them it's a must to win by force, one question seem to change his mood though.

I asked him why he isn't rich yet if he is actively gambling everytime since all this while, this changed his mood and I took a turn.

I have also heard these words from several gamblers, but I don't believe that what they say is true because I know it's all nothing more than just empty talk, imagine if that were true then you can be sure that all gambling addicts will become rich from the result of gambling is because you can get a jackpot after playing for a long time, but in fact most of the gambling addicts we see lose everything because they keep betting, my advice is never try to chase the jackpot when gambling because if you intend to do so then there will be two possibilities for you, namely have to accept losing everything or gaining it.
144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: November 24, 2023, 08:01:39 AM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?
Are there really people like that? It seems strange to me that someone will continue in gambling when failure is experienced in every gambling activity. That does not seem reasonable to me. Maybe they have had a major win before the series of losses....
Maybe there are two things that make this person continue playing even though he is aware that he always loses every time he places a bet, one of which may be that he previously won a big win so that makes him dare to bet because the funds used are funds from winnings and apart from that, I think the person really believes that after If you experience a big loss, there will definitely be a bigger win, so this is the factor that makes some people continue to want to place bets without caring about the size of the loss they experience because they are too obsessed with winning that will be bigger.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You At Any Point In Time Blame Who Taught Or Led You To Gambling? on: November 23, 2023, 09:29:43 AM
I was guilty of this when I was a teenager not on online casinos but in a popular game on Fiesta It is a color game using dice, I was introduced here by my childhood friend and I had a lot of losses with this game, I'm using my school allowance so every time I lose money I blame my childhood for leading me to this color game I do it in a fun way as if I'm just joking but deep inside I hate it whenever I lose. I struggled to fight the temptation but the excitement led me to play again and again.
How about have you at any time blamed the one that led you to gambling in your mind, or even told him face to face?
Stop blaming other people because it means nothing to us when we leave the game with a loss, maybe some people here sometimes also think that they have to blame the person who introduced gambling to themselves especially after experiencing a big loss, the same goes for me personally, sometimes I too think the same but I realize that all of this is my own fault and there is no need to blame anyone because if we ourselves are not interested in starting gambling then of course we are not interested even if there are close friends who introduce gambling.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? on: November 23, 2023, 04:26:36 AM
Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? If yes, what had been your strategy ? Do you diversify to multiple games in order to ensure that end result is always profit ?

I personally feel that there are very less chances of making a steady income with gambling. In fact, if you win a big amount in gambling, from there on , you should play games with less on stake and keep the winnings invested in some good option like crypto. It is important to have self control to end profitably with gambling ventures online. Do you agree with this ?
Gambling is not an opportunity to earn a steady income, so even though we can control ourselves well when gambling, in fact we cannot get regular profits from betting. I personally have tried investing in crypto with gambling funds, but this only lasted for a short time because after experiencing several losses I was forced to withdraw my investment funds and then deposit them back into the gaming account.
We can plan anything in gambling but basically luck is what will determine victory when betting.
147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 21, 2023, 10:22:57 AM
Juventus may change their formation. Chile will definitely need to change Juventus' match tactics to win against Inter Milan. Let's not forget that Juventus will play against the strongest team in Serie A in this match. Winning this match is impossible without a strong match strategy. Moreover, in this match, Juventus must strengthen their attack. Inter Milan will probably play attacking tactics. Because all of Inter Milan's front line players are in good form. However, the match is sure to be competitive. But it is not possible to say for sure which team will win. Because both teams are in very good form now. And both are aiming to win the Serie A title. The match seems more likely to be a draw.
Both teams will definitely compete as best as possible in this match, the Inter Milan team does not want to move from its position which is currently at the top of the standings, the same goes for the Juventus team, they are very determined to get out. as winners and able to get full points and overtake the Inter Milan team, so it is very likely that this match will end in a draw, especially as we know that both teams are very ambitious to become winners and both teams are currently in their best performance from the several matches they have played so it is difficult for us to predict which team will be able to win.
148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you in profit? on: November 20, 2023, 01:37:27 PM
I have noticed some individuals claiming to be successful in gambling.
but, my personal experience with online gambling platform over the past 8 months has been consistently unprofitable
I haven't broken even or made any gains. I'm curious if anyone in our community has actually achieved profitability through gambling. If yes, we can calculate that how much percentage of us are profitable.
I know most of the people pay to win and deposit to recover previous losses.

In fact, apart from bookies or gambling platform owners, we hardly find anyone who can be successful from gambling, let alone online gambling. Logically, if it is true that playing gambling can make someone successful, perhaps everyone will definitely prefer gambling rather than earning an income through hard work. However, sometimes we have seen in the media that there are people who get rich from gambling, but most likely that person has big luck and of course luck will not come forever so if he continues to gamble then slowly he will also experience losing everything.
Gambling is not a place to earn income but only to have fun in your free time.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? on: November 18, 2023, 05:31:13 PM
Do you keep a record of winnings and losses in gambling? Many here will feel that this is waste of time and will also not let them enjoy the game peacefully. Do you also have same mentality?
I personally never record or deliberately remember the amount of money I have spent or the winnings I have obtained because my goal in gambling is to seek pleasure so I don't really care about it, maybe if I write it down then maybe I will stop betting because when I looking at the notes later it is very clear that we often see defeats in the notes, so to avoid frustration I should decide never to record them at all.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: November 18, 2023, 06:35:23 AM
A biggest surprise in this season is Bayer Leverkusen as they are improving more from the past season and currently stays at a first position with 31 points, 2 points more than Bayern Munich. It's no other word than very impressive performance from them.

Another surprise is Stuttgart as they have a first season in top range of Bundesliga after many years. Leipzig at least have been regularly appearing in top range of Bundesliga recent seasons. Their performance in this season is good especially after they sold their most important defender, Gvardiol to Manchester City in the summer transfer season. Without the Croatian defender, they still maintain a strong defense system with only 18 conceded goals in Bundesliga. About this conceded goal aspect, Stuttgart is a big surprise with only 15 conceded goals so far and it is a basement for their success so far.
I don't think surprised with Bayern Leverkusen achievement in this season keep unbeaten trend because Xabi Alonso have made special result last season after success finish on 6th standings where first time arrived Leverkusen on relegation zone. But difference with Stuttgart make surprised performance in this season although they have loss 3 of 11 matches but success manage on third place and dropped position with teams dominance on top fourth such as Dortmund, Union Berlin and RB Leipzig.

Stuttgart have ratio above 2.7 goals scoring each match regarding they have scored 29 goals and their center forward Serhou Guirassy compete on top goals scorer standing remaining 2 goals from Harry Kane, he was scored 15 goals of 9 matches and Stuttgart will be new teams for compete Bayern Leverkusen and Bayern Munich fighting in tittle race.
It's time for the Leverkusen team to chase the Bundesliga title this season because while competing in the Bundesliga they have never succeeded in winning the title. Seeing the significant improvement in the performance of the Leverkusen team this season provides an opportunity for them to win the title, especially now that they are still very firmly at the top of the standings and have not been defeated during the match and they are also playing very well under the control of Xabi Alonso so there are high hopes for Leverkusen to become one of the teams that has the opportunity to lift the Bundesliga trophy.
151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: November 18, 2023, 04:48:19 AM
Real Madrid was unlucky on the FIFA day and in the game between Colombia and Brazil, they got another injured player, 27 minutes after the start of the game, Vinicius Junior, the Brazilian player of Real Madrid couldn't continue the game against Colombia and this is bad news for Real Madrid because Vinicius Junior was recently in the good form and he is definitely an effective player for his team.

This is the main reason I do not like international breaks and games, players tend to be more vulnerable to injuries and this sad incidents is channel to affects the important players that served vital roles on the pitch in  elite teams. Vinicius Júnior is affected, first it was Eder Militao, Thibaut Courtois, Anthony Rüdiger, Aurelio Tchouameni, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga and now we have Vinicius Júnior, can Real Madrid be able to keep the top race with the absence of these players? I think Carlo Ancelotti will figure a way like he always do, more reason I respects him.
The injury to Vinicius junior will be a threat to Real Madrid because the squad will appear limping when they return to compete in the Spanish League and currently Madrid is in 2nd place, two points adrift of the Girona team at the top of the standings and with Vinicius' injury it will definitely be a threat to Real Madrid and this is good news for the Barcelona team because they can easily overtake Real Madrid's position, so Carlo Ancelotti must be able to make good use of his remaining players so that they can perform well when they return to competing in the Spanish League in order to strengthen their position in 2nd place in the standings.
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: November 17, 2023, 01:06:28 PM
I’m not a regular gambler nor an addicted gambler but I recently experienced a terrible chasing loss that start with small amount. I’m on a day off on my job right now due to my minor flu. My feeling got better while I don’t have things to do on my work dormitory so I decided to just gamble for fun only.

My game start by just betting minimum bet on a blackjack table with my initial deposit of 85$ which is my signature campaign earning last week. I lose my initial bank roll with just few bets on consistent losses. I decided to deposit again but this time with higher bankroll which is 250$. I bet twice the minimum bet this time since my bankroll is higher, the result is much terrible loss.

Lastly, I deposit 1800$ to have a better bankroll again, This time I’m betting like a high roller and lucky manage to recover my losses and bag 150$ profit.

Conclusion: I will never gamble again when I’m bored or chase loss small amount. With this exhilarating experience. I think I will stop gambling for a long time and reflec on what dumb thing I do today.

You are lucky because when you make the final deposit you can recover the losses you have incurred, imagine if at the final deposit you had to experience a loss again then you can be sure that you are not feeling pleasure but frustration even though basically your goal in gambling is just for fun but it seems like the goal This suddenly changes because you don't control your emotions well when you lose, giving rise to a desire for revenge by increasing your bet and making deposit after deposit. Fortunately, your game doesn't end up losing everything.
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Thought of Giving Back to the Community? on: November 17, 2023, 06:28:17 AM
Have you ever thought of giving back to the community if you ever had a successful gambling run? One of those punters on X, who usually wins large sums of money from betting, is giving out about 25 laptops to folks who cannot afford them, and he recently paid for someone's cybersecurity online course. Do you think this is something that you can do—give back to the community from your gambling runs?
Maybe we can do this if we have won big several times in a row, but with the condition that the wins we get exceed the total number of losses we get when placing bets, but currently apart from gamblers there are also several YouTube content creators who also often provides similar prizes to its viewers and these prizes are sponsored by certain gambling platforms. So far, to be honest, I haven't thought about doing this, but that doesn't mean I don't have the desire, but I am aware that what I have earned from betting so far has not exceeded the capital when I bet in the game.
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or keep playing? on: November 17, 2023, 03:44:25 AM
-snip-
I've often wondered how many of us can truly stop playing when we are ahead. It's a challenge because the allure of winning more can be irresistible. I've witnessed situations where a friend deposited money into a casino, faced losses, and just when he was on the brink of frustration, he struck a significant win. Did he stop playing? No, he left his winnings in the casino, only to lose it all again.
So, I ask you all, what would you do when you finally make that big win? Would you cash out immediately to enjoy your winnings, or would you keep playing in the hopes of an even more substantial prize? Shocked
When we get a big win, one of the things we have to do is immediately leave the game, but unfortunately only a few gamblers are able to do that because many of us have come across someone who has managed to win a big win. then they will think that now the Goddess Fortuna is on his side, which makes his self-confidence increase and he thinks that whatever he does, luck will definitely enable him to get an even bigger win. Personally, I sometimes fall into that category of people even though I know that with every win there is a loss afterwards.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: November 16, 2023, 10:13:52 AM
At one of the local gambling shop I visited during the weekend I happened to listen to a conversation between two bald looking gamblers at the shop talking about one of their gambling colleague who had won a big amount of money amounting to a million in the local currency and due to that win this colleague of theirs' has been avoiding them since e won that money. From their conversation it was obvious that they were a circle of close three friends that gamble together.

After all I finished with my bet headed home and was asking myself what could the colleague act that way avoiding his close friends they all gambling together and just because luck shines on him first he decides to create a distance and class. I couldn't actually annex a good reason why anyone should do that.
Usually there are certain factors that make a gambler avoid his friend after getting a big win, maybe one of them is that if he doesn't immediately avoid it then his friend will ask him for a loan or maybe his friend will tell him to come back to the game and increase the amount of bets with these funds, so that Like it or not, he was forced to decide to avoid it because he didn't want to suffer a loss. We often encounter things like this among gamblers and they certainly have certain reasons why they choose to stay away from their friends after winning.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: November 16, 2023, 06:21:48 AM
Do owners of betting companies place bet on their own platform or is there a policy specific policy that restricts them from betting. Do you think that there would be conflict of interest or that it will be unethical if owners bet on their own platforms. These are the questions that I am seeking an answer to.
Maybe at the start of the platform launch they will also place bets to make it appear that the platform is busy with visitors and has many users. You could say this is a basic form of promotion, but once their platform becomes popular then usually they won't place bets anymore, but if the owner of this platform is a gambling addict then chances are he will always place bets every day. especially if he is aware that he is the owner so he will easily do anything because he has full control over his platform, betting on his own platform in my opinion is also something that platform owners should do so that they can find out if there are technical problems on their platform and can be repaired immediately.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some rich person not interest about bitcoin for following reason on: November 16, 2023, 05:33:41 AM
A friend of mine is not interested in buying Bitcoin even after learning about it.
Because according to him Bitcoin is a small number of people who have a lot of Bitcoin. They can easily go down on the bitcoin market if they want to.
Example: Cz. Craig wright & Michel Sailor etc.

Looking forward to the well thought out opinion of the experienced in this regard.

Basically we cannot force someone to invest in Bitcoin because each individual definitely has their own choice, even though we know that this person actually has a lot of funds that can be invested in large amounts at any time, but this does not rule out the possibility that some of them will also will invest in Bitcoin but maybe they prefer to keep it a secret so that it is not revealed to the public, so we cannot conclude that all rich people are not interested in investing in Bitcoin because sometimes they keep it secret so that people think that they are not involved at all with Bitcoin.
158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get scammed by this, specially newcomers. on: November 15, 2023, 03:32:15 AM
I saw something on Quora that worried me. Someone said that he lost 1200 BTC to scammers. Then, I saw some people sharing/claiming to be experts in recovering lost bitcoin. They shared their contact details like Telegram IDs and WhatsApp numbers.

I have a suspicion that the person who lost the BTC might be the same one giving out those contact details or advices. They could be trying to trick others in the future who search for help online. Google might suggest similar questions on Quora, and people could end up sharing their private keys with scammers.

So, if you are new to all this, be careful. Don't trust random people claiming to be experts on Quora or anywhere else. They might just be trying to get your private information.

A month ago I also met someone in the local airdrop community and it seemed like he was a beginner who had just invested in bitcoin and asked for help from fellow members to recover the bitcoin in his wallet because he no longer had access and he said he was willing to pay a large amount if there was who can recover their bitcoins, but fortunately several admins in the community immediately warn that no one can recover lost bitcoins, either due to loss of private keys or due to hacking.
My advice is always to educate and direct them if we encounter newbies who complain about the same thing because it could result in their privacy data being leaked and could be exploited by fraudsters.
