We should be alert by watching Bitmains competitor they might be ahead of them.... bitmain is using cheap electricity a 1GH for 500w not enough powerful, I'm sure it is 5GH or above for 1600w this is how they managed to increase the difficulty. Diff on LTC now 9758801.1623634
Is not worth the invest right now, stop buying L3+ guys, now you get less than 2 usd daily in proffit, and it will be lower, it was 20 usd only 5 months ago, in 3 months you will pay
more for electricity than you mine.
Stop buying L3+ , lets give Bitman a lesson, they need to stop building this like toasters.
They are not, they are probably deploying their 16nm scrypt chips to their data centers now, any L3+ for sale are probably their old units they are swapping out. We will probably be seeing their 1GH 500 watt miner for 2k USD by june for sale, after they have ROIed their own stuff of course. It is just lower priced miners. This creates huge sales of miners and major difficulty increase. I mention this a number of pages back already. My worry is that L3+ is on 28nm. If a l4+ 16m appears, it will wipe out the L3+ because it should be 3 times stronger. I hope they dont appear as there is no real viable competitor to L3+. Innosilicons is only 20% more efficient but cost too much more and is already on 14/16nm. So, the L3+ leads the market. ALL evidence suggests that not only is the "L4 a reality, but it is already hashing away in China on a large scale. The S11 as well. Folks better wake up. It's not like Bitmain didn't severely telegraph this upcoming release of new tech. |

You are using a hosting site correct? yeah...this is next years rates month to month...I pay probably 1c more a kWh than I should (real data hall) but my buddy does ALL the work....and I mean ALL the work so figure it is fair to have a complete on-site fix available w/o the wait of 2 days or whatever with other data hall help again, every summer it goes up at LEAST 1c kWh...even my residential for the past 3-4 years goes up every summer 1c kWh...must be great to be an elec utility monopoly my residential is mainly going up DUE TO SOLAR indeed..with community solar farm and the rest...less folk using the traditional elec utility...thus they raise price....sheesh can't talk the CPA in saying SOLAR on the house is for MINING....I'd mine USED CRAP to be able to pull that off....that was 'too cute' in her words...on the other hand I could get my 100 amp service upgraded to 200 amps by keeping my miners in the basement (pictures for IRS in files) that may fly...having 100% of a 200 amp service upgrade off my gross mining income ...like mining equipment MAY be my last hurrah...if I can't hack mining by August or some such... well, right now my 16 L3+ equiv hash at the data hall is getting $1.77 per day ...damn I hate LTC difficulty! yep, this circus...may be all over by August for me...if the bitmain 'toaster rate' of miners keeps up It will be 'soothing' to go back and be a hobby miners with only 3 or 4 miners in the basement at most......bitmain too much drama .....punt and sit on hoard may be wise  That doesn't make sense. Both are on 28nm right? makes sense if as most of us suspect the L3++ is just an 'already overclocked' L3+..then all the problems above and flakiness makes perfect sense....another Bitmain gimmick that has likely come to light Just my view...but when we tried overclocking...seems to be the same symptoms...so went back to L3+ baseline wait till the Price goes down more on the L3 ++ i all most bought one but not now, and when it does im wiling to bet it will be as usage as the V9 is now running the V9 using solar. |

I received my batch 1 on Tuesday....batch 2 was quick! where are you based? Confirming that I received my batch 2 today.
I agree with the $10/Day per B3 estimation.
No announcements for batch 3 yet, right?
That would be in line with the 90-100 Day ROI we will likely see on these units.
A3 ROIed pretty quick if you HEDL, with recent market push.
Ive been watching the Bytom master repo and they've been busy crushing bugs lately.
If they can deliver on their plan to introduce an API for specific timeless Tensor functions, this could be a big enablement tool for ML/AI.
Understanding the BYTOM project requires a bit of understanding around the domestic growth of ML/AI tech in China.
Also, did anyone else catch the bit about Tensority being in compliance with gov. encryption RAs?

B3 profitability is going to turn 10USD/day in the coming 5 days. Bitmain isn't giving a shit about their customers, We thought 2500 B3 have been shipped, now we are hearing 5000 and there is a new Batch on its way....reducing the price...... shipping new batches! I bought first batch of the D3 first week it was 10usd, trusted A3+ my machine came defective....lost 3 precious weeks..... now B3.....
Other companies are making nano chips already...... and Bitmain is cheating.....Innosillicon and Halong mining are making their customers richer.......
Next time I will think 3 times before moving forward with Bitmain.

That would really depend on where you reside. Most crypto debit cards require full KYC AML verification so it's impossible to "lie" about that. Many cards block out certain territories etc, so to find one you'd need to tell them where you are.

Have theory that A3 was build on D3 and this is the reason some A3 (including mine) have problems with hash boards - appears/disappears, hashing/no hashing, all asics few only and then turning 0000 into xxxx... Nothing is helping to solve: rebooting, restarting, resetting, plugging / unplugging, each by one, separately, adding two AWP++ , changing controller cables 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4 Even flashing ( thank you blissz) - NOTHING But funny my D3 with A3 firmware turns into A3 miner, even connects to the SIA pool, but not hashing and after moment all asics turns xxxx This suggest than sia network or "brick attack" on 24th is not the real problem. The real is that bitmain cleaned D3 stock transforming them into A3 thought ____ NOW the funny moment. If/when somebody finds out hot to avoid that wall to make D3 (with A3 firmware) hashing on SIA network.... ....... ALL D3 would finally be able to deliver ROI i'm thinking of vice versa - mining Dash by A3... even half hash rate would be fine lol Is it an assumption? Or you have done the switch from D3 to A3? |

I think the problem here is the voltage the chips are running at. Even at 525mhz, woke up this morning to find one miner operating at 80C. It doesn't seem to make a difference on heat of what the freq is.

At the end of the day we invest a lot of €€$$ and we are loosing money everyday and we all know it will be difficult to catch
Eh... won't they just send you to their warranty? Dead boards are really common with most anminers, S9s lately have been terrible. S9 and L3 is a long term investment you have you ROI between 4 to 9 months because it is mining different crypto. In our case it is a short term investment. Most of us have lost 800$ because of dead hashboard next week we will have maybe 8$ per day who knows bottom line we are losing money instead of few days to recover it it will take months and ROI is even longer I understand your frustration. My point is, quality of their products sucks and they don't give a shit. You can try to "send strong message", they will laugh at you (if they even read it). My point of view, but good luck, I'll be glad if these assholes change. I agree with you that bitmain is the only manufacturer....they have the global Monopoly but you need to try I already got some people interested U do realize that more manufacturers means more difficulty level right? And difficulty is too high already. and? |

Same happened to me with two different A3s. Did you solve the problem? That's just a dead board plain and simple. Aside from getting warranty work done on it there's not a lot you can do. Could be power circuity, and if your good with soldering iron you might be able to fix it. But i would not advise doing it while under warranty. I'd just get it replaced. Unfortunately profitability is going to be much less by the time you'd get it back. Personally i'd ride it out on two boards till the gold rush is over, then send it in. Unplug and replug the white control cables. CHeck them to see that the wire is actually done properly, IE the crimp to the metal pin on the inside of the plug, you can check with a multimeter. I had an issue with an Improperly seated connector on an S9. replugging fixed that same problem. If the board was dead, or the asics you would at least have PCB temps on the screen for it. This means no data/control from the board. It doesn't work have the feeling it is a software issue like the D3. The have an upgrade for it.......I hope they release a software. Currently they are supposed to be back to their office but no news so fare. Will keep you posted if I have any update |
