Today I had the pleasure of interview the WeTrust team. One of the most undervalued projects if you ask me.

How would you describe the main pillars of the company?

The main pillars of our company are transparency, team, and thoughtfulness (a.k.a. the three T’s).

“Transparency” is a core focus for us, as we try to be very open and accessible to all of our community members. We host regular bi-weekly AMAs to ensure that our community has answers to all of their most urgent questions around what we’re developing here at WeTrust. These are typically handled by our CEO, George Li, or senior members of our Product and Marketing teams. We find this degree of open communication to be imperative for any company- and especially true for those raising a token crowdsale.

“Team” comes from our focus on ensuring that all team members here are actively informed on what other team members are working on. We host regular morning standups for each team member to share about what they’re working on that day- which provides an excellent opportunity for other team members to identify where they may be able to assist. When team members aren’t communicating enough internally, productivity tends to suffer.

“Thoughtfulness” stems from our genuine desire to help provide stable financial solutions for those who need it most- the global unbanked and underbanked communities. We’re a social good company, first and foremost. Ensuring that the products we build will make an impact — either indirectly by enabling developers, or directly by helping consumers utilize better financial tools. As we release our Trusted Lending Circles product onto the Main Ethereum Network tomorrow (1.18.18), user feedback will be invaluable as we continue to focus on adding value to this fast evolving ecosystem.

Biggest Security Concerns For Driverless Cars



Driverless cars are coming to a road near you, whether you believe it or not. Collision avoidance and navigation are no longer the biggest issues, either. When discussing safety issues, the initial focus was potential technical limitations and accidents caused by poor decision making from the autonomous car. Nowadays, the biggest safety issue is car-hacking.

Cars are now becoming wifi hotspots. They are becoming more equipped with connected devices to improve driver-safety and make the vehicles more autonomous. Soon, fully autonomous vehicles will be on our roads, and they will be vulnerable to data theft and hacking. Communications and entertainment systems are most vulnerable to attack. From here hackers could access the electronic control units (ECUs) and controller-area-network (CAN) bus, which control critical systems like braking and electric steering.

Protecting cars from a cybersecurity incident ‘is a matter of public safety,’ says Mary Barra, GM CEO. Researchers at the University of South Carolina, China’s Zheiliang University and the Chinese Security firm Qihoo 360 demonstrated that they could jam various sensors on the Tesla S, making objects disappear or invisible in the navigation system.

While manufacturers are moving toward the world of autonomous cars at tremendous speed, the need to secure these increasingly connected vehicles makes security paramount, and governments are noticing. As these amazing new transportation technologies evolve, so must governments update their laws to ensure that security is required and built into the system from the ground up. For instance, the U.K. government has already issued new, relevant cyber security guidelines for connected and driverless cars.

Kin Product Vision For 2018 was recently shared explaining the product’s building blocks, goals and roadmap for Kin — a digital sharing economy of equal opportunities. Our focus in 2018 is going to be on 3 efforts:

The Motivation
Kin standalone app’s main motivation is to be the gateway to the Kin ecosystem —a decentralized economy in which everyone can easily earn cryptocurrency and spend it on digital services for daily life.
With that in mind, we are aiming to achieve the following goals during 2018:

Easily earn and spend KIN and quickly learn how cryptocurrency can become useful for daily life. The app is open to all, anyone who wants to learn about Kin is welcome!

The simplest and most secure place to hold KIN
Using crypto today is unbelievably complex. With Kin, this can be changed. However, simplifying the crypto experience is only one part of the equation. Since everyone can potentially become KIN holders, we should provide them with the best place to manage it. Things like sharing KIN balances from the digital services, tracking transactions, and easy to use backup tools are a must and will be very intuitive and clear.

A discovery point
Educate KIN holders and newbies about Kin ecosystem by exposing them to new earning opportunities and spending offers both within the app and on other apps / digital services. This allows any brand or individual developer to add opportunities and offers and to gain exposure.

Lykke community update: Slack, Telegram, Twitter

For some time, we in the Lykke communications team have been considering how to improve community communication channels and public information spaces. Shaping the communication culture inside the community is always a challenge for a company that follows the crowdsourcing ideal. On the one hand, we want to give everyone the opportunity to express their minds, share their experiences, and add missing parts to the information puzzle. On the other hand, crypto is changing so fast and embracing so much new energy that no project can incorporate all the new ideas. Sometimes, the information torrent has to be actively moderated and shaped. Sticking to the initial values and principles of the company is a big challenge in itself, but it’s a challenge that helps us to grow.

A Zen proverb says, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” We want to start our journey by updating our Slack and Telegram channels. We have been analyzing the activity on these channels, and we have discovered a sad thing: Slack is dying.

On February, 1 we want to delete the Lykke public Slack channel. That will give us the resources to focus on the channel that’s living and growing: Telegram. We plan to create a number of new Lykke channels on Telegram to help you navigate in the modern sea of information and help us to be more responsive and connected with the community. The details will follow in the coming announcement.

Another change will take place on Twitter: from now on the official Lykke twitter is @lykke. To avoid confusion, the @LykkeCity account will be deleted. It was a nice name, referring to the tradition of building countries and cities in the wild and unexplored crypto cyberspace. However, we want to keep the name short, which will be easier for everyone.

The market for funding coin offerings, startups, and SMEs is over $300 billion. As capital flows into the DropDeck economy, the token value will increase exponentially. Up to half of the revenue in tokens will be burned, increasing the token value by depleting the total supply. Also the team and advisors have been working with 15 exchanges to guarantee token liquidity.
After substantial interest, DropDeck quickly sold out the private sales with no marketing, raising 3,300 ETH.

Lykke to list AppCoins (APPC) on the Lykke Exchange

Lykke, a FinTech company building a regulated, blockchain-based global marketplace, and Aptoide, whose AppCoins project is creating an open distributed protocol for app stores using blockchain technology and smart contracts, have announced plans to make the APPC token available for trade on the Lykke Exchange in the Netherlands.

Following the listing, investors will be able to buy and sell APPC on the Lykke Exchange of Lykke Netherlands B.V., alongside a wide variety of currencies, both crypto and fiat.

"AppCoins and Lykke are a natural fit," said Richard Olsen, director of Lykke Netherlands B.V. "It's good to be partnering with a strong innovator and to bring another new trading opportunity to our exchange."
