Interesting that the price hasn't moved yet, they must still be waiting for an official euro exit, I know I will be, let's see what happens.

Thank you to the no voters. From the people who thought of democracy first we shall have democracy back!

nothing to do with democracy, no matter yes or no to vote, Greece is debtor who refuse to pay back money , that is the simple fact, go hell

How can you say that this vote has nothing to do with democracy?
The previous greek governments imposed by Brussels did this mess. I can give evidence that Greece is not the money sucker that the press is stating lately.

This is about people saying no to pay interests on money they'll never see.

This could be a new beginning for the Eurozone.

Think of Italy: REnzi is the third prime minister in a row not voted by Italians.

At least in Greece they still vote and they get their rights!

Germany is the most corrupt nation in Europe. All the economical scandal in Greece is from a german company like Seimens and many more that pay black market to the politicians of the two parties that rule the Greece for 40 years Nea Dimokratia and pasok.
Fo that Mr jerk facist Schauble want back to the goverment the previous political parties. We all know that this facist guy is corrupt and we know that he was involved to a black money scandal back to 90'

I agree. Most of the Greek government contracts went to the German companies (in various sectors, such as transport, defense and communication). The governing politicians from the New Democracy and the PASOK were bribed by these German companies, and they got the contracts through fraudulent means.

Lada hits the bullseye again:

https://futuristrendcast.wordpress.com/2015/07/02/greek-default-and-grexit-analysis-and-predictions/

Quote
...

The national referendum announced by the ruling Syriza party on the future of Greece is to take place on July 5th. Greek PM Tsipras urges people to vote ‘no’ to creditor demands, in order to improve his negotiating position. It’s pretty clear how the people will vote: NO to austerity and creditor demands.

The fact that creditors didn’t give an extension to Greece so people could vote, instead squeezing the country on June 30th, is very telling. I wonder, what happened to the supposed ‘democracy’ the West is so proud of? How democratic is it to sabotage the Greek national referendum – a true voice of the people?

First, it’s clear double standards: Greece, a member of the EU, is treated as an unloved, unwanted child by the EU and IMF. IMF, of course, represents the interests of the US and EU, where US rules supreme.

At the same time, IMF’s Christine Lagarde tells us that Ukraine, not a member of the EU, will continue receiving IMF loan tranches, even if it defaults on sovereign debt it owes Russia. This is in direct violation of the IMF laws.

So, the West is now in violation of both self-professed cornerstones of its society: democracy and law.

Do you know how empires die? That’s how – they implode on themselves, confused and in denial. We are observing a slow disintegration of the Western (US-EU) empire. This is the time when only the blind and the unscrupulous don’t see that the king is naked.

...

You know my prediction about Greece: it will exit the EU by 2017. In my original prediction, which you can find in Secret Connection: Russian Gas to Turkey-Greek Election-EU Breakup (LadaRayLive 6) and my FT articles, I said that the reason it will take some time is because the relationship with the EU is so complex that it will take some time to untangle.

We already see that the energy is moving in the direction of Grexit. But it won’t happen yet. Greece and EU will be delaying it for now. The most important mark for Grexit will be the completion of Turkish Stream. Grexit will happen close to that date – this is the date to watch!

...

For the next few years, the make-or-break moments of reckoning to watch are: completion of Nord Stream-2, Turkish Stream, discontinuing of gas transit to EU via Ukraine, and a change of power in Ukraine, accompanied with gradual weakening of the US. The timeline for all this is 2016-2019, with most events taking place between 2017-2019. US weakening will continue after 2019.

“Dark times lie ahead of us and there will be a time when we must choose between what is easy and what is right.”
“We are only as strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided.”
“It is important to fight and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated.”

Now we have to expect the movements of other countries after the vote.

Their reactions will be predictable, IMO. Countries such as Italy and Spain will become bolder now, demanding new terms from their debtors (including the International Monetary Fund). But they will be cautious. Most of them will wait for sometime, to see whether Greece will survive this crisis on its own, or not. If Greece survives, then the troika will be history.

The Farmer And The Snake
by Aesop

A Farmer walked through his field one cold winter morning. On the ground lay a Snake, stiff and frozen with the cold. The Farmer knew how deadly the Snake could be, and yet he picked it up and put it in his bosom to warm it back to life.

The Snake soon revived, and when it had enough strength, bit the man who had been so kind to it. The bite was deadly and the Farmer felt that he must die. As he drew his last breath, he said to those standing around:

Learn from my fate not to take pity on a scoundrel.

ROFL. Nice story, I have to admit. But I don't agree with your conclusion. Do you think that Germany helped Greece out of sympathy? That is not the truth. Germany allowed the bailout, to save the German banks who had purchased all those Greek bonds. Without the bailout, the German banks might have become insolvent.

Here's an interesting article on why they voted No: http://money.cnn.com/2015/07/06/news/economy/greece-no-vote-explanations/index.html?iid=hp-stack-dom

Pretty interesting, they're saying they have nothing to lose so why not take the chance.

I don't trust the pro-troika news sources, such as the BBC and the CNN. Right up to the day of the referendum, they tried to scare the Greeks and tried to pop up support for the YES camp. And this article gives an impression that it is the pensioners and the middle-aged who voted NO. According to the ground reports, it was just the reverse. The younger voters overwhelmingly supported NO, while the middle-aged and the elderly were evenly divided.
