WHO KNOWS IF LAST ANTMINER S3+(BATCH 9) FIRMWARE IS SAFE (COMPATIBLE) WITH ANTMINER S3 (BATCH 7) ?

WELL.... WELL... I HAVE FLASHED LAST S3+ BATCH 9 FIRMWAERE INTO MY S3 BATCH 7...

GUESS...

IT WORKS!!!

UFFF!!! I CAN BREATH AGAIN...

YOU CAN SEE THE MULTIPLE VARIANTS IN FREQ SETTINGS

I USE TU USE THE 237.5 AND I CAN SEE THE MINER COLD (40... 41 CELSIUS) AND QUIET... HASH RATE 440... 470...

I AM TRYING NOW 243.75 AND I CAN SEE THE MINER A LITTLE HOTTER (42... 43 CELSIUS) QUIET... HASH RATE 460... 480... BUT AN "x" IN A ROW...

PLEASE WAIT... TOMORROW I WILL TELL YOU DETAILS...

Why did you flash the firmware? Did you have any issues before?
Look at this thread, overclocking S3 batch 6 with stock firmware to freq 262.5

I just updated my firmware as well. to the s3+ firmware

I dont see any issues

Got a slight increase in GH/s

No x's

I have both a s3 and s3+

my s3 runs 44C
my s3 runs 42c

And my s3 performs more average GH than my s3+ My s3 was the last batch before the s3+

237.5 mhz is the best frec for a S3, mine are runing cold (39 - 40) : hashrate 450 - 460

If done properly no.   You slowly go up and base it on your mining area heat.  You do not want ton's of heat from OC gear.

But if you do it wrong and just OC the crap out of it yes you can destroy chips, which hurts miner.
