If you sign up for a digital ocean account with my referral code (which gives you a $10 credit), I will setup a VPN server for you on it for free using https://github.com/jlund/streisand.  The VPS will only cost you $5/month which is cheaper per month than PIA ($6/month).

If you like it and continue to use the server for 5 months, I will get $25 in digital ocean credit.  No hidden costs. With my code you get 2 months free, and then it becomes $5/month

This seems really nice because the VPN will have a dedicated ip address but my question is this, can I fund the digital ocean account that I signup under your ref with the digital ocean they are selling on this forum and your account will still get credited for signing me up?

I'm interested, PM me the referral link and I'll look into signing up.

I highly recommend DO. Rented some cheaper ones in the past but they were nowhere near as reliable. Great site and service too.

How many cocurrent connections and/or data cap limits are there?  My VPN has been fine just don't like uncertainty.

I'm not sure.  Most of those accounts are with the $100 digital ocean credit from the github student developer pack, which I don't support, because I think it discourages companies to support student developers who actually benefit from these promos.  I don't think you can use my ref code and that.  If you don't use my refcode and use one of those, I can set up a vpn for $5

I've been using one for the past 2.5 months without any issues.  I have 2 connections (phone/computer) and I have a few friends who occasionally use it.

The $5/month plan has a transfer limit of 1TB

Digital Ocean only supports various forms of linux servers.  If you want a virtual windows server, I recommend vultr
