If you sign up for a digital ocean account with my referral code (which gives you a $10 credit), I will setup a VPN server for you on it for free using https://github.com/jlund/streisand. The VPS will only cost you $5/month which is cheaper per month than PIA ($6/month). If you like it and continue to use the server for 5 months, I will get $25 in digital ocean credit. No hidden costs. With my code you get 2 months free, and then it becomes $5/month

I highly recommend DO. Rented some cheaper ones in the past but they were nowhere near as reliable. Great site and service too.

How many cocurrent connections and/or data cap limits are there? My VPN has been fine just don't like uncertainty.

I'm not sure. Most of those accounts are with the $100 digital ocean credit from the github student developer pack, which I don't support, because I think it discourages companies to support student developers who actually benefit from these promos. I don't think you can use my ref code and that. If you don't use my refcode and use one of those, I can set up a vpn for $5

I've been using one for the past 2.5 months without any issues. I have 2 connections (phone/computer) and I have a few friends who occasionally use it. The $5/month plan has a transfer limit of 1TB https://www.digitalocean.com/pricing/

Whats an RDP? Server kind of. Like a remote PC you can access. It's pretty much a VPS installed with Windows Server 2012
