well cryptsys address is now a PO Box

poloniex address is the agency that can incorporate businesses for $49

btc-e dont even want to reveal where they are located

exchanges do not really make it easy to find the real life addresses of companies to send legal stuff too

Taking almost 2 weeks to respond to complaints via twitter would have been a huge red flag, and that was way back in November.  Many people still had coins in here and it astonishes me.  Both Reddit and this board properly warned people.

This is the latest about Cryptsy and it's based on what sources inside the exchange told cryptocoinsnews. A Cryptsy employee admits "Our site is [messed] up at the moment", and cryptocoinsnews gives the same information as the other news sites that Bitcoin withdrawals are impossible, but some altcoin withdrawals work.

Look at the comment section of the article about the timeline.  Someone has highlighted his recent divorce with a timeline and the wife seems to be creating issues with Cryptsy and the investors.

Quote
“Until we are able to determine extent of attack, all withdawals and markets are paused.”

I have a friend who has some amount of coins on Cryptsy and today he was very worried he may not be able to get back his funds from there. I didn't even know there is such a big problem with this exchange it used to be one of the most prominent in the business.

Class Action Lawsuit Officially Launched Against Cryptsy

New reports have come in detailing a class action lawsuit that has been filed against Cryptsy. The cryptocurrency exchange has been under scrutiny for many weeks now, with multitudes of users complaining of withdrawal issues when trying to get their Bitcoin back. On November 22, the website allegedly suffered a severe denial of service (DDoS). Since the reported attack, Cryptsy’s reputation has been riddled with rumours of insolvency. Many people are criticizing the exchange for not explaining why they cannot withdraw BTC, LTC and other valued altcoins.

Honestly I'm sick of this company and also sick of people who keep using it and then cry , I mean there is two zillion (literally) topic about it on scam accusations and different newspaper related ot bitcoin etc ... but do people stop using it ? Hell no ! they like to get scammed .
So for what comes to me , I have to say that those who keep using their website probably deserve it and like Satoshi said once  Roll Eyes :

Lost coins only make everyone else’s coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone.

they aren't lost coins... they're stolen so still in circulation, just in someone else's hands

Not only that, cryptsy was a large exchange, it's not some minor exchange who commits a little theft, looking at all the altcoins, we are talking about a lot of money.
A lot...
