This big issue with Bitfinex is their association with USDT, which is currently in question because they are not being transparent with their reserves.

Otherwise, I've never had issues with Bitfinex.

I have heard some bad things about bitfenex are they a scam and has anyone signed up and had issues?
I am a part of bitcoin by working on a survey campaign on which a write for them and get payment and I am not sure whether bitfinance is scam or not because I never used it but I heard about it from the people that the problem that people are facing with bitfinance and other exchanges also that they are not transparent. Other exchanges are also giving problems like high transaction fee, not being transparent and even exploiting customers rights.

Bitfenex is the few exchnage that I trust and can confidently leave my funds on . The volume and liquidity on their platform is huge and their presence in the market for too long make I doubt if it is scam.

You have heard but not use it so why do you conclude that if bitfinex is a scam. It has been in the exchange market for many years and has a high reputation among traders. I don't ever think anyone has been scam by bitffenex before.

There are few characteristics that are very much necessary for any exchange to work. There are many international exchanges that provides people services and millions of people are linked with it like bitrex, bitfinance, zappay etc. the things required for proper working of any exchange is proper regulating body, should not exploit its customers in any way, low transactions fee and the most important is transparency and I never faced but I heard that there is a problem of transparency with bitrex

Oh, thanks Samarkand! This is awesome news. 1000USD is much better, great news! Thanks again!

I was trying to sign up last week, and was stuck with the KYC process. Anyone know any exchange which can lend out USD without KYC? Thanks!

I don't think it is a scam, but it require a minimum account equity of 10,000 USD to open the account, which is a huge amount. I think you have to reach the minimum equity requirement, then the functions will be available to you. ...

They recently removed this requirement and lowered the minimum account
deposit to 1000 $.

Announcements > Lowered Equity Minimum and New Token Listing April 07, 2018
We are very pleased to announce that the equity amount for new traders has been lowered from 10,000 to 1,000 USD equivalent.

The 10000 $ minimum for new accounts was a temporary measure and I suspect
that they could see after some time that this requirement deterred too many retail customers.

I assume that you intend to do margin lending with your USD?

If this is indeed your aim, you will have trouble finding an exchange
that allows users to use margin lending with USD without completing
KYC. I´m only aware of Bitfinex, Poloniex and Quoine that offer this feature
and all of these require you to complete KYC (Poloniex introduced mandatory KYC just
a month ago...).

Yes! Thank you so much for the info Samarkand! I havent checked out Quoine yet, and I will try to sign up. I don't mind to do KYC, but just troublesome as I travelled so much. It took me a while to compile all the document for the address prove and ID, etc.

Anyways, thanks a lot Samarkand! You are definitely very helpful.
