None. S7's are self contained and have a built in cgminer.

Developer/maintainer for cgminer, ckpool/ckproxy, and the -ck kernel

to follow they plug in to an ethernet jack and that plugs into a router.

so you need an ethernet cable to plug into the miner and then the router.

you need a power supply. big with many pcie cables

and to see WTF you are doing you will need a pc to be plugged into your router.

So I ask do you have a proper power supply?

and 1 more thing this is very loud gear so be prepared to deal with the sound.

The words that stick with me from my programming classes are plug and chug.   Basically they are so simple these day's you enter your info.... and they do all the work.

Biggest mistake I think is with power.  Make sure you either have a PSU big enough with enough PCI to do it on 120.  Or best is 220/240 with a server psu in my eyes.  But all depends on your situation.  Phil is right about it being loud to.  For some this is a big issue others no issue at all.

the antminers are all plug and play.

Now if you are looking at the software page for updates then dont. hit the little red X at the top right of your window and you will be thankful. Several units/people have ended up turning their units into expensive paper weights because they updated to the wrong software.

That's only if you flash an antminer. Unless you're doing some really high level software flashing, installing software like kano shouldn't do anything bad. I assumed that's what OP is looking for right now.

No OP wondered if he needed to download any software for S7.  He was a new miner, and was talking about just running.  Was nothing like firmware or kano.   Was just wondering if software is needed to get started....

With a S7 it is not you log in via IP it's all there.   We can let this thread die  Smiley Op got anwser already  no need to bring this back up really.
