I'm buying alternative coins: Litecoin, Namecoin, PPcoin, Terracoin, Devcoin, IxCoin, NovaCoin and Freicoin.
I'll pay with bitcoins.

If you're doing that because of no faith in BTC, bad idea IMO.

However, if you're doing that for speculation. Good idea, IMO. Some of those coins are extremlty cheap at the moment and if they become worth anything at all you'll be happy you did. Smiley

LiteCoin is my favorite.

Not to hijack your thread or anything, but where's a good resource that gets a newbie up to speed with these other currencies?

I had no idea an others viable once existed.

Yes, that's the idea. It couldn't be lack of faith on bitcoin, the future of all those alt coins is dependent on the success of bitcoin. If bitcoin fails, all of them will fail.

What prices are are you offering? I would only sell my PPC well above market prices, for example 3200 PPC for 0,4 btc. Contact me if you want do to that, but I guess not Smiley

btc-e allow this. Used them myself in the past without too many problems (BTC>LTC worked ok.)

I don't really know the purpose of PPCoin, I0Coin, Ixcoin, Terracoin, and Novacoin. They all have pretty much been low in value, hovering in the satoshi price range. Probably because there is practically no market use for them. I also doubt if BTC succeeds the alt coin universe will as well. I may as well make my own alt coin called JCoin and say its the same as Bitcoin and expect it to fluctuate proportionally. Market drives a currency's value
