What is the minimum computer system required to mine bitcoin and make a profit? Would this system work:

Macbook Pro (15 inch, 2009) running OS X El Capitan
Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeFroce 9400M 256 MB

Bitcoin mining with a desktop pc is not possible at this stage ,you need ASIC miners to do the mining ,you can always check about alt coin mining as it can give you some profit with the specs you have,here is a thread related to this topic  read all the comments and take your own decision
