Is it a sin to gamble?

From my point of view it is not a sin so long as you do not harm anyone and someone does not suffer because of your losses.
If you have money that you can risk and your family agrees with this, it's ok

But the sad fact that most gamblers didnt tend to say it on family members.Instead of consulting regarding on using their funds on playing gambling they would keep it secretly. We know if we are already a family man, wife would really refuse such thing because we know we would really risking financial budget which will really affect once you do lose up your money on playing gambling which this is already considered as a wrong thing.

It will only be a sin if it's illegal in our country and if we tend to do activities that will make our life miserable like being too greedy, spending our allowance that is alloted for more important things since every decisions have consequences so we shoild know our priorities.

Do you know why the country bans gambling? Why in the country is gambling illegal? because they apply religious law. The country that legalizes gambling is a state that does not apply religious law. So gambling sin is not for being illegal or legal in that country, but because basically gambling is a sin.

If there is a law or ruling that makes gambling a sin, then it will be a sin. But no one can prevent or arrest a person if he want to gamble unless his gambling activities is already harming other people.

Correct. Like for example here in the Philippines online gambling is illegal and that will probably a sin because you're committing illegal. But in some cases even we've doing online gambling our government doesn't care here in the Philippines. 

Governments only ban those casinos which become viral on social media because this thing ruins the reputation of one country. However, the governments are well aware of all the casinos running in their state and they don’t ban them because they are taking huge amounts of taxes from them to keep them running. Also the tourists also like to visit casinos as gambling is the thing common I every county on earth.

I agree with you bro. exactly! No country would be wanting to get their reputation spoiled due to the thing they have never heard off. This will be the only way left to save her reputation and it will make sense when they will close the casino.

I guess it depends on your purpose and the after effect of it. What I mean is that if you gamble because you have enough funds from legal source and not compromising others then its your prerogative. Your purpose mostly is to win and have a convenient life for your family then I guess its not a sin. The after effect is something on how you do after your winnings. Or how you will react after you loss. Gambling was created for entertainment and most likely we join it to enjoy and have fun. A sin to gamble is not really the main thing but this may lead us to sin if we compromise our family and other people.

You're totally correct, gambling is not a sin at all which its our own choice to gamble which the money that we have is came from our own effort like our salary income. I would say it will be a sin when it involves life and death which you try to gamble. As what we all know gambling is just for pass time just take a breath from stressful moments in life, but some people take it seriously which can do bad thing due to their greediness.

Yes, for me gambling is not a sin if ever we do it in a right way, like for not cheating in order to win and like said that money is from the right placed. In other way around like government prohibited gambling then if you do it against the law so that is the time that you committed a sin from your authorities but for the law above i don't think so.

People have different belief but in gambling we just have one purpose which is to win, if we cannot make a sin then we should be responsible to only bet what we can afford to lose because that is the only way where we can enjoy and appreciate gambling. I think in modern world, people thinking’s are believes. Their creed stands no importance to them. I think there’s no religion in the world which allows people to gamble because it is not a secure thing for them and no creed wants to put the followers in danger.

The problem with your analogy is that prostitutes are able to make money to at least pay their bills whereas gamblers are going to lose money in the end because gambling is always an expected net loss on whatever you bet.

The thing make some people consider gambling as a sin is because of the money making proccess itself.

yes gambling is ok as long as long as your doing it in a right and apropriate way.  gambling is not a sin at all because gambling itself is an act of playing and betting a certain amount of cash or any other things that has a specified value for a chance to double it but of course theres no guarantee or assurance that you can double it due to the fact that gambling is a verry risky game to play. a sin is act of doing inapropriate things like killing a human or an animal that is inocent and not intended to be killed.

Sin in terms of religion and sin in terms of norms , people have different point of views about that but one thing I know that gambling makes fortune for few people but makes suffering a lot of people mostly and that's the problem for them to consider enough it as a sin for themselves.
