Hello all,

I have been off the forums for awhile now. Is there a ASIC out there that is viable to purchase or down the line may be viable? I have been looking at the black arrow but 2014 is a long way off. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

my guess...

Wait for a few more weeks

many pissed off owners of the pre-ordered miners and second hand owners of the miners from Ebay will be selling for whatever they can get once they realized they just lost their life saving while they thought they could be a millionaire in a year.

Right now, many of them are hitting ebay but lots of suckers are falling for over valued price. (Paying more than what they can mine in BTC)

Once Ebay and Paypal get hit with complaints from the customers for the refund/charge back and many blog posts and scam related forums, demands may go down and the price of the machines may self adjust in the market

Maybe:

This is a current workup for a KNC Saturn -- for example...

http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=510929738.01615&dcosts=2995&diff_mincrease=30&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=280000&diff_mincreasedecrease=0.1&btcusd=330&dpowcon=360&btcusd_mincrease=2&pcost=0.15&calcweeks=40&dleadtime=1&action=calc#

You can see the assumptions --
Two week delivery Grin (One Difficulty jump leadtime)
BTC = $330 USD
Jumps at 30% increase
BTC Increases 2% a jump
$2995 USD

etc...

If the numbers hold, you break even Feb 01, 2014. There is no big score you get your money back -- plus $600. That is actually a reasonable rate of return.

Changing this to a Jupiter -- or an advanced Mining 1.2THash box means you might make some decent return -- but  maybe not.

Check out other compnies -- Advanced Mining, HashFast, BitFury etc...

Plug in the numbers and draw your own conclusions.

It's really a BTC inflation game now.

Give me this day my daily Bitcoin...
