Bitcoin is only pseudo anonymous and by far not anonymous enough on it's own. If you want to make sure that your financial matters is private, then you have to take extra measures to protect it. I use mixer services to protect my financial privacy, because it secures my funds.

People will not know my private spending habits and how much money I own and I have a basic right to protect that information. If you keep cash in a safe place, do you have to explain that to anyone? Why should Bitcoin not be the same?

I do not use Bitcoin for illegal activities and if I am asked, I can account for every cent I own and what I paid for taxes.

Bitcoin is not 100% anonymous. If you want 100% anonymity, then you need to use coins such as Blackbytes. Even if you use a coin-mixer, Bitcoin is not completely anonymous. Remember how the Sheep Marketplace thief (Thomas Jiřikovský) was caught, despite using a mixer?

For what I want to do, which is usually play dice games and blackjack, there is no need to be very anonymous. The people who need to become more anonymous are usually the buyers and the sellers in the dark markets. For ordinary users like us, there is really no need.

One thing that beginners always misunderstand about Bitcoin is that they think Bitcoin, by itself, is anonymous. Which is really wrong because it is easy for people to back trace transactions and find the original sending Bitcoin addresses. I was one of those beginners until I come across Bitcoin mixing site. As to answer your question, for me, Bitcoin by itself is not anonymous enough for me. However, Bitcoin with another layer of transaction mixing is enough.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.

Time to be active on the crypto forums again? Proud to be one of the few Legendary members of the Sparkie Red Dot!

Gonna put this on my resume if I ever join a cryptocurrency/blockchain industry!

Is Bitcoin's anonymity enough for you? Or do you wish it was anonymous? Do you take any measures to anonymize your BTC funds?
I don't think that we need more anonymous quality because the main reason behind this factor is that we are legitimate earners in this field and we don't need any type of the privacy to use because we are not stealing money or any type.of the money laundering  or any type.of illegal activities or any illegal deals that are harmful for other .
Here we are just making money by the investment and trading which  are more better way to make money .
And I think if more and more annonymous type quality will be introduced in the future then it will be bad for us because many countries government are accepting Bitcoin because everything is public and anyone can see anyone transaction . So it is a method to remove the black money holders in this world , So many countries are supporting the Bitcoin and they legelised it .

BTC Anonymity is not a big concern for me. I am more concerned about the safety of the bitcoin, i.e. how to prevent hack etc.

Same here.

"The truth fears no investigation."

I do not do shady things or whatnot with Bitcoin, well, in any case getting hacked is a lot worse because I think tons of people use Bitcoins for very bad stuff and have been since the beginning.

Lolz it is anonymous since it came to market I would tell you something that you should need to study about bitcoin instead answering topic. Because it would be better for you because if you know about bitcoin then in future you can reply to topic very well. Now tell me what is the difference between anonymity and anonymous both are same but the difference is just that of spellings.

Sovryn - Brings DeFi to Bitcoin

Well, I think Bitcoin is special even for anonymity.

On a side, Bitcoin transactions (and thus addresses) are public. We all know it, that everyone can see the transactions on blockchain.info and other similar websites.

But on the other side, addresses are just a bunch of alphanumerical units with no sense. It is impossible to associate an address to an user. So transactions are public and private at the same time!

Also, you can use several measures to keep more privacy (mixers, etc.). But, in general, it is quite good and also there are other cryptocoins which have a higher privacy.

Bitcoin is pseudo anonymous but still i think its enough for me since i have only a small income from bitcoins and also it has not been yet regulated in our country india so that i don't have fear of being taxed by the government. But the scenario is totally different when you are a big holder of bitcoins because any one could trace your transactions and you would have to face a serious threat. So,at such situations, they would definitely have to use bitcoin mixer sevices provided by some companies to ensure their privacy.
