Hello,
The biggest angel investor in startups in the world is "visa & mastercard". Airbnb, recently valued at $10B, was built on the founder's credit cards. (Literally, see this article:
http://www.businessinsider.com/how-a-box-of-cereal-and-being-like-a-cockroach-helped-airbnb-become-a-billion-dollar-business-2013-3"When Airbnb's founders were just getting started, they had no way to fund their short-term apartment rental business. They maxed out a binder full of credit cards and racked up tens of thousands of dollars in charges.")
I am in a similar position, minus the binder full of credit cards. (Actually, I do not have much debt.)
What kind of return do Visa and Mastercard have on their 'angel investments'? (Unbeknownst to themselves.)
Would you appreciate similar returns?
If so, we may be a match.
I am looking to be connected with an angel who is interested in this kind of arrangement. I am also an American, educated and trained founder, and know very well the limits on securities and their sale- this is why I draw the analogy with Visa and Mastercard.
Please let me know if you would be interested in such an arrangement, and we can connect more seriously and discuss terms. I have reviewed other posts in this forum and find that successful transactions do not make mention of the real-world usage of funds, i.e. the opportunities for which they are being raised, so I have not included this here.
Thank you!
