Hey guys I know there are guides out there and I have read alot on it but I don't quite get it yet. It helps talking out some things and getting clear answers instead of reading passage after passage for the one answer I need. So here goes my main concern is I do not think the rig i am running atm is optimal or even viable for mining. For those of you who wish to help I use....

GPU: GeForce GTX 660Ti (Yes I know geforce isnt the best for this buisness but this is my normal computer that I want to test this stuff on so that I know if it's what i want to invest into)

CPU: AMD Athlon II 630

Memory: 8GB DDR3

Any more info you would like I can try to provide. What I need to know is how to calculate the Hashrate for this setup. What client would be best to use with my rig. Lastly is this machine good enough to make a profit on and if not is it good enough to test the waters of the business before I invest in a whole new rig.

Since no-one else has ill have a shot...
please though bear in mind im an fpga guy so my figures maybe out....

You'll get roughly 68Kh/s (yes k hash) from that card

Best client for that rig, is none...you will not turn a profit...
It will cost you more in electricity than you make...

Yes you could try cgminer on it, and yes it will mine, slowly....

tbh, the days of gpu's on bitcoin are loooooong gone...if you really really want to mine with a gpu, look at litecoin, and a lot of ati cards Cheesy

take a look at dustcoin.com
set hashrate to 68 khs and power to something like 600w

tru cudaminer for litecoin
