5 BITCOIN INDEPENDENCE DAY RAFFLE

W     elcome fellow Bitcoiners to my 5 Bitcoin Independence day raffle!!! There will be 10 winners who will recieve equal shares of the 5 Bitcoins.  Raffle will be held five days from the start of giveaway on Independence Day, July 4th.

Before I get into the details on the giveaway, id like you all to know a little about myself,  Back in 2010 I first heard of Bitcoin while in a passing conversation with a co-employee. This "online anonymous currency" sounded interesting to me. I was having issues setting up my wallet when I entered a bitcoin IRC chat room for help.

After explaining my problem I was pleasantly surprised by the outpouring of help I received from members in the chat room.
One guy who went by the name of "kjwallet" took his time and worked me through my problem, then was kind enough to send me 30 bitcoins. After that event, I made a promise to myself that one day I would give back to the community in full.

This generous act further convinced me that the bitcoin community is truly something special. As I began to scour these forums my interest in Bitcoin grew. What especially captivated my attention was the posts from "Satoshi". Back then he used to post frequently about upcoming updates as well as his hopes and expectations for the currency. His posts sold me on the idea and I bought over 3500 Bitcoins at less then a dollar each.

It wasn't long until my investment in Bitcoin began to pay off. Before I knew it the price per coin was 7$, I sold just enough to make back my initial investment and kept the rest to save for five years down the road. It is my belief that if Bitcoin succeeds we will see the prices massively higher in the years to come. I encourage you all to do the same!

Now lets talk about the giveaway Smiley

This giveaway will stay true to the word, there will be no adding stuff to your signature, or clicking on links.
All you have to do is post on this thread and your name will be entered into the raffle. After the five day period is reached I will use a list randomizer (http://www.random.org/lists/) that will chose the 10 winning participants. Each winning member will receive .5 BTC!

I will be extending this giveaway to allow new members to take part. If you have not yet reached the four hours logged in send me a pm and I will add you to the raffle list. To prevent, or at least cut down on multiple account entries I ask that you have at least 10 activity to take part.

RAFFLE ENTRY: *Include Forum Name In Raffle Entry Post*

Example:

*forum name*

(whatever you wanna say Cheesy)

I dont want to have to go through a ton of posts and constantly check if the person double posted. So adding your name will be a lot easier for me. If your posting more then once on this thread do not include your name in the post or I will consider it double posting and you will have to be disqualified.

My hope is that this giveaway will bring some much needed fun to the forums, and offer a exciting chance to earn free bitcoins for newbies, and veterans alike.

I wish you all the best of luck!

Very nice to see a early adopter. That is a rather large sum of coins and very nice to have. I think I like this guy kjwallet, seems he's persuaded you to be generous enough. Thanks again.

I'm 2jase and while I've been hearing about Bitcoin for well over year I didn't have the foresight to get involved when you did - nice job! I only jumped in a few months ago when it was around $100/BTC. I'd appreciate being entered into the raffle and if I win it would make a nice way to start my bitcoin portfolio.

Thanks for the fun thread and the lesson on the value of foresight. I'm hoping LTC follows in its big brother's footsteps so I may have a similar story in a year or two.

+1 very nice of you!  Reminiscent of the "old days", before BTCs' dollar value was the first thought.
