called a customer service number for bitfinex on Google and they supposedly  helped me transfer Bitcoin from Gemini to Bitfinex. My Bitcoin never made it to my Bitfinex account. I tried the phone number 9 hours later it was no longer a working number. I tried another number for Bitfinex customer service. It sounded like the same guy, he tried to rob me again. He said in order to recover the .11 Bitcoin, I would need at least that much or more in my Gemini account in order to get back the Bitcoin I lost. I asked him why in the world I'd need that. Makes absolutely no sense. I said what are you up to you want to just rob me again. He said fuck you and he hung up. Total scam.

Please use the correct form to make a scam accusation. Also, why do you need to make another account for this?

first, use scam reports properly

Scam report example:

What happened::
I saw escrow.ms's lolipop thread 4 days ago and placed a order for 1000 lolipops. After I sent him payment, he just went offline and never came back. I think he's a big liar and a scam artist. Stay away from him.

I'm pretty sure you googled the number of a scammer. Hell, why in the world would you call a number you didn't get directly from their site and send the guy BTC?

Cryptoland is a bad place with many, many assholes around, trying to get ahold of your Bitcoins. Don't trust anything you didn't personally verify or you'll get your money stolen.

Btw: the guy didn't "rob" you. Robbery involves some sort of violence, like someone forcing you to give him something, using the gun. The proper term is "fooled". He fooled you into sending him your coins.

I doubt that you were calling a legit customer service number if they even have one. I'm not personally sure that there is one, at least i do all my support stuff through their actual online support ticket system anyways.

I've got an account on bitfinex, never had anyone approach me and tell me that they are able to help with gemini transfers to bitfinex.

Though i am having issues with withdrawals right now, my withdrawal has not been processed for 2 days... Will see what happens.

Wow. It's a pity but u got scammed. An exchange representative would not reply you in such a manner, not when the image of the exchange is on the line.

I thinks those people have fishing  on you and not bitfinex mistake,they only used the platforms site's bitfinex to scam with your bitcoin.the proper way to safe of your asset you must go to the platform site's and log in if you want trading or exchange ,not asking help for customer service that you dont know what kind of person there is maybe a scammer or hacker.in my own experience with betfinex  they are trusted site's and i have never complained about there sites until now.
