would be better if you could actually mitigate what causing your rig to hang, than doing an automatic reconnection though you can do this by script or by setting it to the miner.

first what Miners are you using, Claymore miner has built in feature to restart miner -r option

for the hanging issue, have you checked your logs? you may seem find some information or error logs before it hangs.

try also to do isolation, remove one gpu and let it mine then observe. you can also replace risers if you have extras.

I am afraid its not in the feature of EWBF, however found this one.

I am not using the code posted but might be helpful, please bear in mind that it would restart the miner when a certain GPU failed and with 0 hash, otherwise if its hardware issue it may not solve your problem as it would hang the whole system.

best is to visit your friend and isolate.

I was having a similar problem and added a script that would restart my miner every 90 mins and runs in a loop before I switched to Awesome Miner

Awesome Miner is a program that will help monitor and control your mining rigs.  It has "rules" that you can use to help do things like restart mining software if it crashes, watch for specific hashrates and if it falls below a threshold... to do something.  That something could be to restart the mining software, reboot the rig, and a whole lot more.

The great thing about Awesome Miner is that it creates an environment where you can think of mining as a software-defined experience.  You have concepts like hosts, managed miners, profit miners, pools, pool groups, profit profiles, and more... and combine them all to have your rigs do what you want.

The software-defined experience with Awesome Miner is kind of like those a-ha moments you had when you first started working with virtual machines.  It does take a bit of effort to get used to the way AM works, but once you get it going and discover all the time it saves... it's well worth it.

All that being said... Awesome Miner will keep your rigs running, but you still need to take the time and diagnose why your rig or software is crashing.  Some common culprits are bad over/underclocks, bad risers, or a overtaxed or faulty power supply.

thanks for your reply ... itsn't crashes some one else have the same problem which i have in EWBF

Hello everyone!

So I have been using this for a few days and it suddenly stops working It does not freeze or anything but when I look at it I notice its not typing stuff on the DOS looking terminal screen. The only way to know is to ook at the time stamp and then I realize it has been sitting idle for a long time maybe hours.

Two questions:

1. Is this is a known bug or is my system experiencing issues?

2. Is there anyway to get a notification when this happens so I can restart? Or is there an option I can put in the bat file to restart on its own when it freezes like this?

just need a script to make auto reconnect the miner
