Has Ripple ( XRP ) Cryptocurrency gone mainstream’ish? A Gold & Silver Bullion news site/blog has done an “ alternative currency ” article about Ripple XRP and Opencoin. Could this open the door for other Crypto Coins? I thought Gold Bugs hated Cryprocurrencies?

What are Ripples ( XRP ) & who are Opencoin - Video http://www.thebullionblog.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&Itemid=110&catid=2&id=804&lang=en&view=topic

They have a very good PR firm.

Nothing wrong with that.

In America if you have a problem throw money at it. If you need publicity hire a PM firm.

BTW: I am a gold bug and am very into Cryprocurrencies.

I guess with Google cash behind them they can do anything they want!! I would think the site got gazillions of Ripples - XRP'S or cash for publishing it! Boosting their credibility being along side Gold & Silver Bullion!!

The piece is not the usual OC boilerplate...
So somebody needed content... and is just grinding out a word count for food.

Google invested $200,000 in this dog (a rounding error for them)...
And out of 150 smoking hot Google Ventures pimped...
Ripple does not make the web site... so comparable to an aging street crack ho.

I own both.

Right now if I could get away with eliminating fiat I would.

Note: I have tested Ripple and personally I do not consider it a crypto.

A good alternative to the SWIFT system but not a crypto.

As it is I do not need Ripple.

Which would you buy first? Gold or Cryptocurrency?

I guess it’s all about hedging your bets against currency collapse and converting as much of your Paper ( Fiat ) Currency into tangible assets or crypto’s that should increase in value when the purchasing power the Dollar, Euro, Yen…etc, all paper currencies drops like a stone within the next 12 months when the “crash” happens or continues, which ever way you look at it! So keep stacking & mining!!! Which crypto coins do you think will survive? Other than Bitcoin & Litecoin as they already hold value. Feathercoin & Primecoin seem to be front runners?
