I want to build a PC with 2 1080tis in them. I see online that people say use a cheap celeron chip to run the mobo and then I could just mine that way. Is there a  special kind of cheap PC I can buy that will run 2 1080tis? maybe a cheap brand that miners have used and recommend?

I want to have my miners in closed case PCs the 1080tis will be water cooled. If I could find 2 cheap pcs with the case and all my plan night work

a g4400 cpu = 50
a 2 full slot  mobo with room for  riser add ons   80-90
a usb stick program with smOS stick is 10 software is 0 then 2 dollar a month fee
a stick of 4gb ram is 30
a decent psu say 110
that is about 310  maybe less if you get used.

the one I show can do 2 1080 ti and has a riser for a third was about 320  with no cards

The main thing you need on the motherboard for mining is PCIe slot. I started build mining with olde Gigabyte Mobo with 5 PCIe slot (forget about the series) and the Mobo price is about $15-$25 with AM2+ Socket. And one of my rigs still uses old Mobo with 5 PCIe socket.

Yeah it's fantastic if you have a really old PC laying around with just a few PCIE slots.

My favorite rig is an ASUS P5KSE motherboard with a Core2 Duo processor from 2007.

It sat unused for 7 years before I dusted it off (not even!) and plugged in 4 Vegas, which it has mined with 24/7 for the last six weeks.

what about the dell t5500? someone made a thread on how to build a cheap rig this one has a 875 watt power supply, but I dont know if it comes with 2 8 pin connectors for my 2 water cooled 1080tis.

I want to keep my 1080tis in the case, they are water cooled and dont need to  be open, and being in a close case, they are more discreet, looking for a complete set up. thanks

I prefer Pentium more than Celeron.

"thghdbs" on github said:
I replaced the Celeron G3900 with a Pentium G4560 and the fail to load / typewriter slow load problem is solved. It still bogs a little for a few seconds, but it works brilliantly after load.

The graphics cards price will not be ridiculous in the next few months if the price of currrencies drop further.
