The fan that you quote will not work as it is only up to 1000rpm while antminer fan is capable of up to 3900 rpm. You also need a fan with power management.

I've had two out of four antminer fans die. I had some table fans lying around so I just placed the Antminer in front of it.

I hated that noise so i replaced one fan wih 2 arctic f12, one in front other in the back. Temps went up to 70-80 degrees but not much noise, they have been hashing like 3 months now like that, no problems.
And silently

(because its making a weird noise and i'm worried it may go out).
That second fan looks good, but two things: 1. I had one fan making weird noise, but it all disappeared when i simply tightened up the screws on it (that connect it to the frame). the screws were loose. 2. What OP posted about a regular fan. It works.

In monitoring the unit more it looks like the sounds is more pronounced when the fan is working harder. I didnt notice this at home as I have the box fan blowing on the units. My boss has let me put one in the office with the promise of allowing more if they are quiet enough. Hence, why I don't want to put in a box fan I'll probably be upgrading the fan to see about keeping it working as quietly as possible.

Hence, why I don't want to put in a box fan I'll probably be upgrading the fan to see about keeping it working as quietly as possible. In my experience the outside fan blowing toward the intake makes the whole setup quieter, and with that the internal fan works at less rpm and does not "whine" because it does not accelerate to higher rpm. Alternatively, people had attached a "pull" fan in front; just make sure the the airflow is directed to the outside with this fan. This setup did not work for me at all because temperatures inside the miner rose to 57-58oC, but perhaps I did not have patience to tinker with it more. So, my personal preference is the regular fan blowing toward the intake. However, you know this already since you have this setup at home.

I use two of these on my S1 and have no complaints: http://www.amazon.com/Cougar-Vortex-Cooling-CF-V12HPB-Black/dp/B008N323U6/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1405713942&sr=1-1&keywords=120mm+vortex+fanJust watch it when screwing the front fan in as the fan isn't as deep so the screw can come into contact with one of the capacitors and pry it off (that actually happened to me as I wasn't being as careful as I should have been and had to solder it back in). I ended up using a cable tie for that particular screw slot. I don't overclock my S1 so I'm not sure if this solution would sustain an OC'ed device but it makes little to no noise with these two and hashes away at an average of 180 Gh/s 24 hours with no incidents. Of course, the room stays nice and warm though!

If cooling is your #1 priority check out the NMB 4715KL series: http://www.nmbtc.com/pdf/dcfans/4715kl.pdf. These types of fans are used in server environments, so don't expect any leds. They are not quiet, but they don't shriek like deltas either You can find them in PWM version (4p lead) but most of the time I don't bother, the thermal control in the S1 is so unreliable that usually I just run them full scale anyways.

I ended up picking up 2 of these to try them out. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835213010After installation I saw a 10 degree decrease in temperature after sustained usage (~1h). They are much louder than the original bitmain fasn, but with the box fan I have running over the units also Its hardly noticeable. However, they put out a TON more air than the bitmain fans.
