He was convicted for fraud though. Had it been just that price hike, he would still be free coz it's not illegal. Which is ridiculous.
This is all because of the way and manner that he hiked the prices of the drugs which led to a total outcry against him and the company am sure that’s got something to the way he was tried and sentenced. But he is indeed a horrible person.
True. I don't know why he was that stupid to think there would be no reaction from the public. In cases like this, authorities would try to do something because of public opinion. He could have raised the price slowly every year.
But again, that's not what landed him in jail though it seem the judge had that in mind.
