Not much to say, he was convicted of securities fraud and conspiracy. Good. Quite possibly he deserved more in my humble opinion, the prosecution were going for double that, so theoretically he got off lightly. He's the guy that is known as the 'Pharma Bro' after purchasing the rights to a life-saving drug and massively increasing the price (Daraprim - he hiked the price by around 5,000%). Sure there'll be an appeal, at least that's why they're not immediately confiscating any funds until the full process is finished.

Yep, true. I was just happy to hear he is getting a bit of karma thrown back at him. Doubt it will change him much though, leopards don't change their spots.

This is all because of the way and manner that he hiked the prices of the drugs which led to a total outcry against him and the company am sure that’s got something to the way he was tried and sentenced. But he is indeed a horrible person.

Glad to see that harsh punishments are being handed out to white collar crimes. The judges normally have a lenient view on the white collar crimes, as they ignore the fact that such crimes can ruin a lot of lives and can leave individuals without their life savings.

True. I don't know why he was that stupid to think there would be no reaction from the public. In cases like this, authorities would try to do something because of public opinion. He could have raised the price slowly every year.

But again, that's not what landed him in jail though it seem the judge had that in mind.
