I am looking for an address at which I can receive mail, until I can establish a permanent address of my own.

I don't expect to receive much mail. As for the mail that I do receive, the following arrangement is preferred:
  • that the mail be scanned or photographed clearly enough to read
  • that, once scanned, the scans be sent to me
  • that, once forwarded, the mail and all digital copies be destroyed

I am only willing to pay in bitcoins. No physical forwarding is required or expected. A North American address is preferred but not required.

I am willing to pay in full, in advance. Therefore, I would prefer that the counterparty to this arrangement be someone whose reputation is worth more than a quarter-bitcoin.

Thank you for your consideration.

This is what PO Box's are handy for, because I doubt anyone is stupid to accept your offer for this because we all know what the address will really be used for haha.

And what might that be? Something unsavory, I assume? Elaborate, and I may be able to adjust my request to exclude the possibility.

Being homeless, traveling in an RV, staying in hotels, all legal reasons to want mail scanning. Google it and you may even find a cheaper service than 1/4 BTC.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

Alas, every mail scanning service I could find required prospective customers to already have an address. Unless you have recommendations?

I fear I'll have to contend with this assumption no matter what I say.

However, I may as well reply regardless: I am planning nothing illegal. That's the point of going to all this trouble. If I was willing to provide a fictitious address to commercial mail scanners, I would simply do that, instead of offering a quarter-bitcoin to a stranger to rifle through my letters.

Ah, USPS Form 1583 required notarized for commercial agents, and COA if you want everything to get forwarded to the agent's address without having to tell everyone individually. Eesh. I wonder if Canada's any better or worse.
