I think mining does the trick, right?

Even if you use a pool it should be pretty possible to stay anonymous.


But you can be traced by your IP.

But for most, staying anonymous is not important at all

If an envelope were to show up in my mail box with cash and a bitcoin address, how would I (or anyone else) know which of the world's population actually sent it?

I haven't looked into zero-coin protocol all that much, but from what people say, once it starts being implemented in bitcoin, the prospect for anonymity become much stronger.

And public wifi connection. Dont know how it works with mining machines though, these have to stay at your home

Few advices:
-Use new adresses every time
-Use mixers as the one of blockchain.info
I think that stay trasparent is better and more legal
Stay anonimous using bitcoin can be money laundering!
