put up an escrowed addres, and raise some serios money.
Then send them a mail like "We have raised funds equivalent to $25.000 please give us your BTC address"

Already happened, funds raised were 25 bucks.

Why are you guys spamming wikip?  They said they don't want your money.
This is like some grubby panhandler chasing you down & begging you to take his pennies.
Shit getting weirder & weirder...

I emailed them in the past, and I will email them again from an alternative address.

It's totally ridiculous that an open, community driven organisation like Wikipedia would not prefer (or even just accept) open, free (as in free speech) independent money.

Quote from: Wikipedia
This has been interpreted to mean that we do not accept "artificial" currencies – that is, those not backed by the full faith and credit of an issuing government
Right, because currencies that are backed by governments, are of course not 'artificial' in anyway Roll Eyes

And their full faith and credit (what credit exactly?) is obviously more trustworthy than the mathematical backing of Bitcoin.

Seriously... this situation is f*cked up.

In theory, there's no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
