It's totally
ridiculous that an open, community driven organisation like Wikipedia would not prefer (or even just accept) open, free (as in free speech) independent money.
This has been interpreted to mean that we do not accept "artificial" currencies – that is, those not backed by the full faith and credit of an issuing government
Right, because currencies that
are backed by governments, are of course not 'artificial' in anyway
And their full faith and credit (what credit exactly?) is obviously more trustworthy than the mathematical backing of Bitcoin.
Seriously... this situation is f*cked up.
