Hi everyone. I'm building my first rig and have some worries about the PSU's I am using.

I have 10 X inno3d 10603gb with Samsung ram.
H110 pro board
G440 processor
Ballistic sport 4gb ram
2x EVGA 750 GQ, 80+ GOLD 750W
10x Riser Card Adapter PCI-E 1x To 16x Extender USB3.0

The evga PSU's have 4 VGA ports.
I understand that an 8 pin VGA cable can carry 150w and that if I am running a 1060 at say 70w the riser can take up to 70w too.
So by my calculations I should only be able to run 4 cards per psu. 70w for the 1060 and 70w for the riser.
I have looked into server psu's but have heard they are quite noisy which I would like to avoid. So do I just save for another psu to run my extra 2 cards or is there anything else I can do?
I want to make my rig as safe as possible.

Kind regards
Steven

I'd suggest you seek assistance in the Mining subforums... the guys over there really know their stuff: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0

I'd suggest the "support" forum here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=40.0

This forum is mainly just a lot of newbies wondering how to get merit and rank up because they can't read stickies

While your riser can take up to 70w, it doesn't necessarily mean that it does. Mining with a 1060 should pull around 70-90 watts from the wall (depending on you OC settings) and that is already including the riser power. If you are simply trying to run a 10-GPU rig, assuming based on the number of risers you have, you should be fine with those 2 PSUs. I've been running a 12-GPU mining rig on those exact PSUs myself.

However you should really take time consider if you want to get into mining at this point in time. There are now so many risks stacked up against you with ETH asics, increasing difficulty, threat of ETH-POS, etc.

With regards to server PSU noise, it should be negligible if you run them at least 25% below their maximum capacity. Consider that too if cheaper server PSUs are available locally.

If you plan on using 10 x gpu with 70w power each, to be safe you should add more psu to the gpu. Because it is feared that 1 psu will make the rig work unstable, even a fire can occur in the riser cable.

The process of rig recently decided to build itself a small mining rig, and before you tell about the system. I will start by saying that I did not do it for the cpu. in fact we quite sure that I will be better off buying and holding, I built the rig as a learning experience and basically because we thought it would be fun which it turned out to be.Besides, if mining does not work out I would have a bad ass gaming pc.Building a mining rig is pretty much like building a PC, probably easier since you do not have to worry about fitting all the cables into a small computer case. So, let’s start by the components I got and their price decision of mining rig.
