The thing is some people invested into bitcoin because the huge price achieved for something very new, the 1000 dollars bringed huge investment into bitcoin. The fluctuations around bitcoin were the main reason people close their positions or took their savings and camed to bitcoin.

Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?
yes it will still be as popular as we know but eventhough bitcoin price is not stable this would be more popular now and also many investors that investing into it so i think bitcoin is more popular now eventhough the price is not stable..

Well, I think. Those investors may be the guilty of the bitcoin bubbel that made bitcoin reach 1000 dollars and then collapse into small values till it really reach the real value on the time, bitcoin could had became a bigger sucess if the price were a bit more stable, even not reaching the 1000 dollars, without be ready, nowadays we do see bitcoin has a strong support and it may change 50-100 dollars, not unrealistic values as in the past.

Bitcoin currently is much stable than it used to be before. The daily averages are often have less variance than it used to 2 years ago. Considering this, it's still popular as of now and the adoption and awareness is increasingly getting popular. I've noticed that exchanges are being setup in various countries and people are learning the benefits of a decentralized currency.

I think yes and no. If Bitcoin quires stable price, then Bitcoin will be used as a reserve currency. On the other hand, if the price is stable, it will cause a decline in interest from speculators, I think so. At least to me it would be in exactly the.
If it stabilizes it will probably reduce the attractiveness of investors entering the Crypto market. So I do not expect that BTC will be stable. Some investors buy BTC just hope that their prices rise to profit. But with price stability, the Crypto market will no longer be attractive.

Stability may not help the popularity. Come to think of the coin Xaurum which its value is almost $500, the price don't move much a day and that makes users back away for trading with a coin which the market price don't fluctuate much means lesser trading profit.
