Swiss going crypto friendly would definitely impact positively to the whole technology and its value. Imagine swiss banks starting to support a crypto, that would definitely boom.
And I think that may not be too far from happening either.

There are more Bitcoin friendly countries. Of course, one more never hurts, however, I don't trust Switzerland. I don't like the way they have handled the politics in WW2 and I don't trust them because I don't trust bankers.
And Switzerland being a country with quite a big % of GDP coming from banks (at least that's what I expect), it's quite strange how fast they've embraced Bitcoin. Wasn't only the blockchain tech they're targeting for they needs?

Switzerland known all over the world for its banking secrecy, aim to become a major "crypto nation". It has been a friendly nation to icos and is bold in claiming their support. Having the reputation of allowing wealthy clients evade tax and its outright stance on cryptocurrency has put the country at a very big risk.

Roman Bruskov, DeHedge Editor-In-Chief told Express.co.uk said “It will not be long before we witness the first scandal involving the words ‘Swiss’ and ‘crypto’ in the same headline if such hazardous foreplay with the phenomenon is allowed to develop further.”
Nowadays Switzerland is no longer privacy friendly country. It has been known to reveal identity of US clients to US authorities and god knows what else. There are much more banking privacy oriented countries (like Malta, for instance) and they are at the same time much more cryptocurrency friendly as well. So I don't know what to make of Bruskov's words. It just doesn't make any sense, at least nowadays. Historically - yes.

It could be seen that Malta is crypto currency friendly, but Swiss is all time heaven, and known as the one...
I am not doubting that Switzerland is a historically all time heaven, what I have been reading and hearing recently is just that it is not that anymore... I don't know, I don't have a first hand experience Smiley
