Switzerland known all over the world for its banking secrecy, aim to become a major "crypto nation". It has been a friendly nation to icos and is bold in claiming their support. Having the reputation of allowing wealthy clients evade tax and its outright stance on cryptocurrency has put the country at a very big risk.
Roman Bruskov, DeHedge Editor-In-Chief told Express.co.uk said “It will not be long before we witness the first scandal involving the words ‘Swiss’ and ‘crypto’ in the same headline if such hazardous foreplay with the phenomenon is allowed to develop further.”

It is very good for the country that developed crypto, Switzerland is a very rich and advanced small country, and the Swiss country should be made as an example of other countries.

Interesting to see how far they take this. Finance is never restricted to one country only. The major operations all have transnational elements. I wonder if Switzerland went full crypto while other nations pulled back, how committed Switzerland would remain to it if their conventional finance looked like it was being frozen out because of it.

Indeed, one of the risks to the government about crypto is about taxes, because storing money in crypto can reduce government taxes.

I agree. They view crypto as not so disruptive as other nation picture it to be. Switzerland known all over the world for its banking secrecy, aim to become a major "crypto nation". I wonder if this has something to do with US asking them to open bank accounts of anyone suspected to be doing some illegal activities like money laundering? Now they embraced crypto which will be another headache for US prosecutors. https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertwood/2014/10/13/100-swiss-banks-get-ultimatum-hand-over-americans-or-face-u-s-prosecution/#b4be5072eb21

This statement could no longer be applied to Switzerland. Though they are the first country to accept bitcoin as payment to government services but the title the major crypto nation will be soon taken out from them. If you heard of Sweden launching their own cryptocurrency then you can already say that they will be the major crypto nation as the worlds first government to launch their own national cryptocurrency.

Well, as I know Switzerland it is a land famed and well-known for how it treats the financial aspects of the world. And for it to be able to garner and care for the cryptocurrency market means that they too have recognized the power that the bitcoin can achieve if truly unlockef and to ke that is proof enough that what we are here for means something and it can completely change and revolutionize the world we just need to be able to have an active voice in the campaign

one thing about bitcoin is that it doesn't rely on any country, and that is the beauty of it. yeah some countries like Switzerland may adopt bitcoin more and start earlier but in the end bitcoin is still decentralized and it is working outside of any country and on a peer to peer network throughout the whole world.

I agree. Countries like Switz is only one good example how cryptocurrencies provide great services to humanity. And not to be afraid of or banned of. If digital currencies are handled well, they really do great to everyone, in terms of convenience, having low transaction fees and so on...

Switzerland is rich because its rulers know how to think differently than everyone else. And I think that there are such people who are aware of all the steps far ahead. It is unlikely that a scandal around this country and cryptocurrencies will develop.

whether a country will lose if its people use bitcoin just because of reduced tax revenue. ? I think they can pull taxes from a company or something else. not from the people.

It's great to hear such news. I hope you are right. A few years ago I joined one crypto project from Switzerland, swisscoin https://www.swisscoin.eu/ but still this project didn't develop much. I hope that other projects will be more successful there.

Nowadays Switzerland is no longer privacy friendly country. It has been known to reveal identity of US clients to US authorities and god knows what else. There are much more banking privacy oriented countries (like Malta, for instance) and they are at the same time much more cryptocurrency friendly as well. So I don't know what to make of Bruskov's words. It just doesn't make any sense, at least nowadays. Historically - yes.

Believe there are already many ICO's which proudly put that Swiss mark in the right or left corner when they publish the ANN or even the whipper. I am sure this is just an attempt to show that how they are proudly launching the ICO's from the country where everything is bitcoin-friendly and thus they have got higher chances of winning the market.
But then everything comes down to the one fact, whether people are going to fall for that, if yes then for how long and what if your headline comes true and then swiss made stuff goes back into the darkness again. It will take no time to happen that one.

That is literally true that Switzerland has given some amazing support and validation to bitcoin and other crypto currencies . I heard that there are even a lot of atms and banks that support bitcoin and handle its transactions . Many ICOs are backed up by Switzerland's government which is an another amazing thing . Not only Switzerland but Newzeland has also shown some good support to crypto . That is the reason why mining is shifting in those areas , because of the huge acceptance.

I have some personal reservations about the way Switzerland handles finances especially, the ones that has to do with international fraud. But i have to commend them for openly supporting cryptocurrency. I just hope just like you said, there will not be any sponsored campaign against Switzerland.

We all know that Switzerland is a country with a thriving economy. This country invests heavily in bitcoin. Swisscomote announced that, in addition to Bitcoin, the bank will continue to allow customers to trade Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Ripple.
