Deleting posts from Lending sub

I just witnessed a nice ballet of self-deleted posts on the lending sub here:

Why would it be a bad idea to lock posts like it's done on auction sub, and prevent people from editing/deleting, there, too?

[OVER] RIDDLES 2nd edition --- this was claimed. Look out for 3rd edition!
