What is that "guild based" system about? Never heard of it

It is like gathering professionals who really know the technology and building a community around it. Here's a more concrete explanation of how menlo's guild system work. https://medium.com/@menloone/menlo-one-expert-guilds-for-better-icos-cfc398320cce

Seems like this is a paid popularization about this newly ico huh?never heard about this one but looks like juniors and newnie come to learn this faster, well nothings new because this is the way how the advertising goes now i dont know why or just a cost cutting project.

Later i will take alook if this really new or another copy project from Icobench but indeed, goodluck to the dev and hope this is legit and reliable

It's possible, but I looked at their CEO's interview on YouTube and it really seemed like this guy new what he was doing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1QBpBYE6o&t=427s

The sound quality wasn't ideal though.

The video was too long, but the audio was not that bad... I sorta understood why this project was created now since I agree and feel that joining ICOs isn't newbie friendly at all. I am a newbie and never joined a single ICO since I have no idea how.  Huh

This seems far better than letting shady ICO's pay influencers to say shady things i rate....

But how would they do this? It is still possible to pay for an ICO to bribe a community with the right amount of money.

One of the best mission of menlo that people will really love is they make ICO a smooth and easy experience for eveyone. With this kind of system I think it is safe to say that we are in good hands.

I've had reasons to doubt it since "Menlo" wasn't familiar when its name surfaced, but I ended up liking its concept after checking out KoreanJew's interview with Menlo's founder. Now, there are 2 scenarios that come to mind; 1. A lot of people will flood in and embrace this unique platform and instantly change the way we approach all ICOs. 2. People remain skeptical since I heard being a contributor in their platform would mean spending some Eth to buy tokens and stuff.

Anyway, here's the video I watched for those who might be interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rw1QBpBYE6o&feature=youtu.be

As I understand it's just a cooperation of professionals from different companies, right?

Fom Medium's article, it says that a guild is composed of random group of people who are experts in blockchain technology. So, a startup who wants their ICO reviewed offers a bounty to get reviewed by a Guild and the review is done privately. What assurance does this give us that the review done by the guild is unbiased? Is there another group tasked to inspect their quality?

I would like to think that a guild is composed of people who may not know each other and are scattered in different places of the world. I'm just wondering if their names will be shown publicly or are they going to be anonymous? I think it's going to be a big deal and either way, being known or not will have its pros and cons.

Yeah, menlo is trying to create a community of experts and professionals of this kind of technology. It is not limited to companies, anyone can create their own guild as long as they know what blockchain technology is they can join. The catch is tehy will be paid for any valuable content they input on every upcoming ICO.

The corporeality is it is not upright a study place. Its an all-in-one program which I fancy modern investors real non-essential with it. Lessening the gamble of investment and automating it.

Hello guys, I've come across with this website. www.menlo.one

Everything seems usual, but what caught my attention is their guild based system, they so called "Expert Guild Network". Can this really be a good thing for new upcoming ICO's?

And could this system work?

I'm not interested, there are many innovations present in the current ico framework. but from most of these innovations nothing really goes according to the idea and the technology. I just suggest, you should try to expand this discussion if you want to try to invest.

In the overview video that they have on the website they said that the guild system is a proof of reputation, meaning that it is where anyone can give his opinion about different transaction, process that he went through in their website whether it is good or not, i personally think that this is something that is in between, because review and what people say can be censored they have the ability to remove bad reviews, but if this is legit and they won't do that than i think it will be a great idea.

from my own experience right now to be a successful ICO you need to develop something outstanding, something unique,  the things that even don't never came up to somebody's mind,

I dont really easily entrust with these kind of propositions i cant deny the idea is great and revolutionary but tendency of manipulation and censorship would be always there since we wont even know if there are certain informations had been censored out same as you said. Transparency would always be the issue or in short "Trust".
Im quite interested on how they would or the project do remove these doubts into its possible investors.

The idea is good, the main thing is that these experts can take responsibility when they say that this ICO is good, and this is bad. It is important to understand how they guarantee their activities. In General, I liked the idea.

I agree, this is something unique and we need something unique, because all those similar ico's would never have any success on this downtrend market of our recent.

I do not think this project is promising. Most likely it is not a fraud (although I did not go into this issue, just looked superficially), but to invest in it or participate in their bounty, I would not.
