Bitcoin is much better for me since I am doing it for long term. In terms of profitability, I think bitcoin still remains at first position. Bitcoin is also the safest coin and the most trusted one. It continues to develop it’s technology that most people in crypto world won’t think twice to choose bitcoin. However, If I have to choose, I will choose both because many altcoins can also compete with bitcoin in many ways.

If I'm gonna choose between Bitcoin and altcoins; I will choose Bitcoin for being profitable and for being a great investment. But when you are just a beginner and you have no enough money to buy Bitcoin, choose a good altcoin.

bitcoin, because the parent bitcoin of altcoin. if the bitcoin price rises then altcoin will also rise and vice versa

I don't invest in bitcoin. It's the gold of the digital age. In the near future there will be a "dollar of the digital era" and "gold" will be few people need. Bitcoin is far behind technologically, it is difficult to use it and it will just be archaic. Therefore, I choose alternative cryptocurrencies.

It depends also to your money wether it is enough to invest in both parties but for now I rather to invest first in altcoin due to the prices are affordable .When we already a big amount of fund then it is good to invest in such potential coin like bitcoin.

Altcoin definitely, look at coins like Zero and you can see how much better it is than Bitcoin, there's also a lot of active development, which bitcoin lacks.

Both type of coin are good because bitcoin and altcoin have specific benefits. But i prefer altcoin because bitcoin today is not active and progressive as compared to previous months. They are still in down. Maybe they are preparing for development and arising again. They have the both different purpose so your choice will depend on you objective.
