My bitcointalk.org account was stolen. Where can i write to admin?

I've been afk for months. Now i check and...i can no more login and anyone is commenting topics with my account.
Is a legendary 4-5 years old account. Could be dangerous if anyone trust impersonating me. Please help me. Thanks.

I'm sure about this 'cause i check in spam too every hours (yes not by day but hours due to my work).

Edit: Hope that i've not just to make a useless denounce to italian police and let the thief scam with my account.
At least delete or ban it. Let a thief scam with this account (so scammed people can denounce my person) is really a bad joke (be sure that if happens i make an other useless denounce - to btctalk.org) when in 5m we can solve.

This situation really piss me off. Why btctalk have no a support mail to write to?

The moderators won't ban/lock it unless you can provide any evidence at all. I would think that a legendary account at least sent their address once on the forum. Whether you remember doing a trade with someone via PM then you could ask them to report that message. Meta is basically a support system for hacked accounts nowadays.

Yeah i did but i've no more address now (i'm out since 2016). I remember 2-3 trades but i think Cyrus or theymos can't help me without a signed message.

So is sad that the only one way to recover this account is a signed message. Just this and this piss me off. But ok. I don't care about the account, just the fact anyone could be scammed using my identity with a legendary 5 years old account (this piss me off like a monster. Damn).

Emails were completely irrelevant in this forum until recently, when theymos added the email block protection (if your account gets hacked, you get an email and you can block your account) so you didn't receive that.

Of course, you would still need to be able to sign a bitcoin address, and you would still need to go through the ridiculous process of account recovery which is nothing but a lottery apparently, even with proof.

After 17 days 0 response from Cyrus or theymos. Seems that the feedback of a mod (italian section mod can confirm that the stolen account is mine) is useless too. Any ideas?

Meanwhile the thief is still using my account for scam purpose, that's amazing...

You haven't been able to prove the account is yours, if you did then the account would of been locked relatively quickly and then investigated by theymos/cyrus at a later date. Imagine  the chaos if it was as simple as claiming an account is yours and that was enough of a reason to get an account locked it would be exploited.

The forum has been compromised in the past. Which means it's probably best to assume that if a account has been compromised so as it's email because people have a tendency to use the same password for many different logins.

IPs are trivial very easy to spoof. Your probably right that the admins have little interest with this as they get bombarded by hundreds of messages per week and a lot of them will be about hacked accounts and the majority of them would be with little proof and they have to spend multiple hours a day taking a look at the account. Signing a message makes it easier for them to assure the person requesting access to the account is indeed the owner.

Use the signed message is a ridiculus way, a person may never have had it (lost or delete it), but is not the problem.
Registration email is a lot safe way. The feedback of a member of staff (a staff member not a dog) is a good way too.

I give up. I'm out from this world since 2016, just piss me off wake up a day and see that scammed people denounced me.

Run a forum is not a game. Privacy and security are serious things. Have no support (or adeguated protection) is not an excuse.

First of all, its not 1 year but 9 months to be exact

Second, you didn't provide any information. You didn't post your "LEGENDARY" account you say. How can the admins recover or delete it. Kindly provide some information here and maybe they can help you.

Third, recovering account is not on the main list of admins. This is not a priority to them (correct me if I'm wrong). Some are waiting for months just to recover their account. This is my own opinion since I have been here for around a year only .

9 months (10 to be exact) or 12 is no difference, still a monster timing to do something. Anyway they have all what they need.

As said i don't care about the recover, i just need a block or a delete at least. Too many people scammed are continuing to be scammed.

That's what piss me off. It's not hard to block or delete an account. They have all the informations needed to do that.
