This was the thread started by thermos as regards copper membership and it contains tips and guidelines.

What "trouble" did you get into? It's as simple as it gets. You send some bitcoin onto the address indicated in this link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

Then you wait a bit for your account to be updated. That's pretty much it!

He is a copper member now, so No problems anymore. You would be able to post with pictures and what every copper member can. Congrats.
