We can't blame them, they used that KYC/AML verification for having probably a reason. Is just because of the giveaways of a stellar lumen and it might protecting the airdrop of steller lumen project from possible abusers.
Well, that is our call if we can exchange our identity to $25 from airdrop then, it's up to you.

Electrum wallet is the safest way among them all, see it here. https://electrum.org/

I hope in the future we can have a 'KYC' with has only. If we have the same data (not only digital data but real data) the hash would always be the same. But the drawback of this is that they can steal the hash easily (even though they might not able to access the real data directly).

I just ignore this invitation for registration. They may promise me whatever, but the risk of using of my private info in a wrong way stays high and I do not wish to let it happen.

Unfortunately there are always people who give can give anything for money. A lot of people in my country is still now aware of the danger of giving away private/individual information to someone over the internet. In fact, they love Facebook so much.

The government is making sheeps from all of us. It's already known that we all can be seen and tracked. As many others I have nothing special to hide, but I do not wish that one day it will come a letter when it's written that I have 1 mln $ deb in a bank or something like that. I saw many times on TV how people fight with wrong use of their private info and that's just sick, coz it's very hard to prove that it's not you done something, but your info was used.

If you are comfortable with providing your personal information to a third party, then I don't see why not.

But if you're solely going for the airdrop rewards then I certainly don't think it's worth it. Personally, I'd see my privacy as worth much more than just an airdrop, especially when it comes to financials as they can now trace back transactions done by you to your name.

It's an offer that blockchain.com has put out there, and it's up to you to accept it. No one is forcing you to do it.

For $25 then even just on our common sense it wont really be worth it and yes no one is being enforced to comply or sent out KYC to them.

Its a choice but not a necessary thing to be done.Even coinbase do have it where they do give out $50 worth of XLM to USA verified users.Just wondering why XLM is the common coin being given?
