I know the intention is good, but don't ever give bitcoin to anyone who doesn't understand it.  The chances of it never being touched are high.   My advice is, you hold the .3 for them, being someone who understands this technology and in the future when bitcoin and cryptos are more widely accepted you can show them then, how to spend it.   No need to lead them into an investment mentality with this, investments are not spendable, bitcoin is.

Super true!

Hello everybody!
I would like to give to my parents about 0.3 bitcoin hoping that in a few years the price will increase a lot.
Is it a nice idea for a present?

Thanks for any tips!  Smiley

Interesting idea but I don't agree unless they are expert with crypto and use Internet regularly.
My parents never used Internet in their life, even mobile phone so no chance I can give them some bitcoin.

It's a good idea if your parents are techy and know how to handle cryptocurrency. If they can't, you could also hold it for them. Investment is a good gift since it could assure a good profit in the future. I'm sure that any gift from you would be appreciated by your parents.

I think this, like other similar ones, is the best answer you will receive, totally agree.

Nice idea but i think giving a bitcoin as a present its not quite understandable because if your parents doesn't know about bitcoin its hard for them and if the bitcoin fall low your parents will very disappointed.
