Appreciating Cryptos Great Minds

So I found this gem of an article  http://www.businessinsider.com/bitcoin-history-cryptocurrency-satoshi-nakamoto-2017-12   with some fascinating links to the bitcoin inventor Mr/Mrs  Satoshi Nakamoto & the articles rich history, and in it I found another gifted mind Mr Hal Finney... all In an effort to get my facts and crypto history up to date! One of the arfticles from businessinsider linked Hal to this forum and also stated that he passed on in 2014( from the wired article>>> https://www.wired.com/2014/08/hal-finney/ website) but a look at his account seems it was last active in 2017.

All this has brought in some questions?

• Are these records correct?
• is or was the account hacked?
• Why aren't these people recognized in our crytpo history , unlike having the likes of Craig force themselves in our history books???

Maybe a hall of fame badge should be introduced to honor great contributors to the crypto ecosystem, especially if they have contributed to this forum.

His account was compromised, so theymos decided to lock it because the hacker got access via mail address:

I kept his account unlocked because I thought his family members might want to look at his PMs or something, but this is looking like his account was almost certainly compromised. So I locked his account.

The person who controls his account gained access via email-password-reset, so his email is probably also compromised.

Ok. Satoshi got the fame but there are lot of people that contributed in crypto space.

Hal finney,Nick Sbazo ,david Chaum are the few that I can name.

There are a lot of people who contributed to our industry but were not recognized.
I guess they won't even mind being recognized, as well.

Look at Satoshi Nakamoto. We know everything he/she has done in the cryptocurrency. He/she/they founded this wonderful space we now enjoy. But was the recognition was taken and accepted by him/her/them? No.

I am also amazed at how Finney copes with others belief. Because he knew that he is more intelligent compared to the doubters. Cryonic freezing might look impossible, but I have a feeling that will run the same story as the airplanes.

I'm not sure if that's how Hal portrayed himself. I think it's more plausible if his beliefs were along the line of "I know this can work, I'll prove it to them", and not "I'm smarter than them, they're dumb".


Almost anyone who has built the foundation for the crypto world today never feels the needs to get more recognition I suppose, which is why believing someone who crazes so much for recognition as one of them is really hard.
