I just wanted to point this out.

We have to wonder if someone close to Hal is using the account or if it was hacked.

If you aren't the sole controller of your private keys, you don't have any bitcoins.

Who is he, and is he supposed to be dead or something?   He said he is 'risen', but I don't have a clue as to the significance of this.

Edit: ah, just saw the other thread where it says he died of ALS.  Sounds like it's a hack to me.  Can't post from the cemetery.

I kept his account unlocked because I thought his family members might want to look at his PMs or something, but this is looking like his account was almost certainly compromised. So I locked his account.

The person who controls his account gained access via email-password-reset, so his email is probably also compromised.

It is likely hacked.
I would doubt that Hal's family would be keeping up with the current Bitcoin
debate or make a comment on it.

It's not right to use Hal's account this way, either side you are on.
This is like taking a one of a kind book and writing about your mundane life in it.
Leave Hal's account untouched till he truly returns.

I support a decentralized & unregulatable ledger first, with safe scaling over time.

Hal was one of the pioneers of Bitcoin and was the first person other than Satoshi to use it. He died in 2014 from ALS.

Anyone using his account for posting is disrespectful to the legacy that he left behind, especially for trying to add flames to the SW vs BU fire (as the two posts in the OP were doing).

So I locked his account.
Thank you.

Segwit needs to be activated. I am risen.

For the record, I do not support anything that Jihan or "Crooked" Roger are doing with BU.
This was reposted in 'Development & Technical Discussion' and 'Politics & Society'.
