Low volume, no mainstream interest, Gox news left a bad taste, not enough buyers or sellers to swing price either way and the result is a sideways price since the last 2 weeks.

It's actually positive that we maintained above $600. I wouldn't mind another 6 months of this price

IF THAT IS FOR YOU STABLE IM THE PRESIDENT OF USA

that is stable, and you're not the president. i would hope any president of the US would have a little bit better baseline understanding of the mechanisms underlying market pricing.. Undecided

here's a start: it goes up, and then it goes down, because price is stochastic.

It's quite simple actually; When people buy the price goes, and when they sell it goes down. And there's always people buying and selling.

Excitement keeps people here, and this is way too boring.
"Perfect" stability might be (for example) "wild trading" in a range of low to mid ~$500 to very high $600.

Oh my god it's almost like the price is set by the demand of its users and not by a government.

There is NO SUCH THING as stability with any currency pair, including the fiat currencies. They are all volatile, it is just a matter of how volatile.
