We all know that newbies heard about this forum because they mostly see high ranking members are earning cryptocurrencies through signature campaigns, bounties, airdrops, goods/services, and etc. Most but not all newbies tend to stop reading and just spam what they just knew within their own perception and some just read along without understanding more of the article or subject.

These topics are commonly recommended by most members for newbies to read and also because it is necessary:
  • Rules - "the obvious one"
  • Risks of gambling/scams and how to avoid one
  • Concepts of mining
  • Safekeeping cryptowallets and accounts
  • Purpose of having multiple accounts
  • What are merits and how to earn them

and if I miss some topics that are really need to read not "just read" please tell me. It is also a big help to me and other newbies to broaden our knowledge here in the forum.

If a "newbie" really wants to learn and is willing to spend a good amount of time reading, then I always suggest this: https://www.coindesk.com/learn

Obviously it doesn't contain everything, but it's a good starting point and it contains enough information to keep someone busy for a while.

I wonder why you didnt include in your topic list " What is bitcoin and everything you need yo learn from it" most of the topics are pertaining to forum and some common subjects here, but this forum is made for bitcoin discussion, and should be the main attraction of newbies rather than learning how to earn instead. Might add more topic which regards to bitcoin related.

This might be quite techy but foe newbies this is the most useful site for learning starts from here:  https://bitcoin.org/en

then go to Bitcoin section and read more topics about it. One step at a time will do.

I forgot to put that since I just see the commonly asked question every time I read topics in this Beginners & Help section. Though for me I see less and less talks about "What is bitcoin" but more of "everything they should learn about".
I assume they might have an idea what is bitcoin in the first place and they'll go here to know what other things about it or maybe they are not just satisfied on the articles on the net.

    • Purpose of having multiple accounts
Be careful with this one. It is not against the rules to have multiple accounts, but if you do you should make it publicly known. Leaving a neutral trust rating and connecting your accounts, declaring ownership of both, is enough.

Many trustworthy members have alt accounts but they are not misusing them. If you are planning to take part in bounties or signature campaigns you should never try to cheat and participate with multiple accounts. Members who try that get tagged.

I would recommend the Newbies to read my thread where I have listed most of the important topics of this forum - Missing Out The Important Topics!!. This contains all the forum related threads, Bitcoin & Blockchain related threads. This would definitely help the Newbies, they can read this thread.

Other than this they can search and read the topics they want on the Search Engine.

I would recommend these educational courses for someone willing to study cryptocurrencies with a clear methodology that can help him to build a solid foundation that can open many doors to any subject he wants to learn more in the future. For serious peoples don't even start discussing here in the forum things you don't know. have you ever seen a student discussion a new topic before he even reads it? I have not XD

    [2] https://www.udemy.com/the-bitcoin-course/

For topics here on bitcointalk, these two are more than enough for a newbie to start his journey.

I still consider myself a newbie, From your list I have another thing that I do, Reading crypto news or blogs, It helps us to be updated on what is going on with crypto space, I also follow some individuals on twitter like CEO of top exchange, Well-known crypto enthusiast, etc. I do that because I want to be updated. You can search a lot of blogs on google.

I wouldn't worry about getting the list of things that you must learn, this isn't a college where you have subjects, for example there's a lot of high rank people on this forum who don't know how Bitcoin works, and some of them are still very good posters because they know about other things. Just make sure to avoid shitty sources like cointelegraf, coinidol, bitcoin.com, craig wright and so on. Before you are going to learn from some source, verify that they are indeed known and respected in this community.

Yeah, reading news is important, but newbies should be aware that not all stuff that they read is reliable. There is full of websites spreading fake news and misleading information. Also, there is a lot of paid shills who can't be trusted. I don't even talk about people like Rodger Ver, Craig Wright or John McAfee.
And I couldn't tell better than @hatshepsut93 did above.

You should also learn this one too which is very important. You must learn how to post or create thread constructively or good quality. Y doing that you can help newbies like yourself when they want to learn too. There is a thread that contains list of consteuctive threads and choose any thread that you want to learn.

I appreciate the mistakes you pointed out to me and I know providing links is essential in every aspect while also maintaining credibility within the links. I just merely forgot to put one.

Yes I do since making good quality post is also important, I also need to learn and utilize formats in content creation(e.g. thread, post, articles) to improve constructive content. I really need practice in everything here while learning some stuff. I also hope that most newbies who are not get used to in a forum just like this must learn these things first.

There are so many topics/articles that a newbie can read and you have already mention some of it. So, as the thread title said what topics/threads newbie should read?. Obviously you have read the ones that you mention so, the other threads that newbies should read depends on what you are into. E.g, you are into mining so the thread you should mostly read is mining topic. Just focus on the things that you want to learn or interested.

Yes you are not wrong but not all topics are easy to understand in the first place and it may lead them to confusion. Some newbies are maybe fast learners like after seeing a thread they would know the "hang" of it. Some could be still processing or can't relate in a specific topic. That's why reading the starting or the supporting concepts is essential.

So I do really need to read a lot of things...
I guess it will take me months or even a year to understand cryptocurrency because just based on what I have seen here in the forum, I think cryptocurrency is so wide. I have tried reading some topics here and I can't understand it.
    But thanks for the information

Yes my friend understanding everything about cryptocurrency is really vast. Though no need to rush things just to learn many things in one go so try to learn or familiarize the suggested topics above by the other members included. Do it one at a time from the basics until you can get along with the topics you're interested in.

Another important topic they need to learn about is trading. how to convert their crypto into fiat money because there are no  physically printed cryptocurrencies today and business outlet perfer fiat to crypo. newbies should learn how to conver their crypto to fiat and vise-visa. trading is another important thing to learn if they are willing to trade but they move know how to conver their tokens to other cryptos.

have tried reading some topics here and I can't understand it.
If you have problems understanding something you are free to ask and someone will help you.

Try to limit yourself to what you are interested in. Focus on one area in the beginning.
If you have no interest in being a day-trader then don't research trading related content.

If you are not interested in the technical stuff you don't need to go into details about the elliptic curve. But, you need to know what keys are how to keep them safe.

It is all up to you how deep you want to go.
