but I still would like to recommend Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technologies. As far as I can tell, this is one the most comprehensive academic textbook on bitcoin and blockchain, along with some Andreas Autonopolous' masterpieces.
Thank you for such a wonderful review on this book, I assure that I'll take your word in reading this awesome book. I bet that you have read a lot of these books and it seems that you are very knowledgeable in this field. Thank you for you recommendation.
Regarding finance book, it's a regret not to mention The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason. Similar to Rich Dad Poor Dad, it's old but gold.
I am afraid that I will not add this finance book due to the copyright infringement law but I think they can find it on the internet. I'll be reading this one as well.
I hate to be that guy but as a word of caution: some of those books aren't actually free and I'm guessing that their unauthorized distribution could potentially land you in trouble (luckily for you, book publishers don't really tend to go after infringers). As for Bitcointalk and Google Drive, they are both shielded through DMCA's "Safe Harbor" provision which means they are not liable as long as they comply with takedown requests by copyright holders. Hope everyone learned a bit more about copyright law
Thank you for the concern @lucasholder. This is the reason why I am being hesistant in posting this direct download link in bitcointalk, I may have good intention in providing these resources for everyone but I am afraid that distributing these digital copies of their book will eventually hurt them. I have researched about
Copyright Infringement and the DMCA’s Safe Harbor Provisions and learned a lot from it. Thank you so much for the enlightenment. However, should I delete this thread? and How can I help in some way?
This is great op! Though I don't really read a book a lot. I'm not a fan of ready a whole book, but maybe I could read some parts of this book.
I highly suggest that you must learn to love reading books because they are timeless. Books are very good sources of knowledge from people who are in the industry long time ago and it can help you to at least increase the learning curb than actually learning from yourself.
